Information Security Association (Hamaya)[edit]
Information Security Association (Hamaya) Information Security Association (Hamaya) or Hemaya Group is an official Saudi non-profit organization. It considered the first professional association specialized in information security (cyber security) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Hemaya was established in 2011 as a voluntary group consisting of a group of specialists in the field, aiming to establish an information security community to exchange information and experiences.In 2019, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development was officially registered with No. (1162) as a non-profit entity.[1]
Hemaya has more than 500 specialized members and more than 27,000 volunteer hours registered in the National Platform for Voluntary Work[2], Hemaya has a number of strategic partnerships with several parties, recently with Huawei company.[3]
2011-2015[edit]
Hemaya was established in 2011 as a voluntary group for those interested in the field of cybersecurity, publishing publications and exchanging experiences information in the field.
2015-2019[edit]
The second phase of Hemaya Association, the group was reactivated again, specialists in the field were gathered and meetings were held. During this period, awareness of the community on cybersecurity was started and volunteer support teams were formed dealing with:
(content writing, linguistic proofreading, scientific proofreading, design) and several awareness publications were made. It targets the general community with the aim of educating them in the field of cybersecurity through social media and enriching Arabic content. Several activities have been carried out, including:
(training workshops, dialogue meetings, media participation, community participation, national initiatives, holding seminars and initiatives).
Following 2019[edit]
The third stage, was the turning point in the Information Security Association, Hemaya was officially registered by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development with No. 1162 as a non-profit entity, holding the record of the first professional association specialized in information security. At this stage, experts and specialists were divided according to interests and fields.
Six Communities[4] were established at this era with multiple specialists in the same field. A strategy has been developed for the association with its vision to be an association of reference and leadership in serving the community and specialists in the field of information security and its mission is to activate the role of the third sector through providing awareness, consultancy and training in the fields of information security.
