Henck Conrey (born Henck Conradie, 4 December 1986) is a South African television producer and TV presenter.[1] He has been active in the genre of reality television and more specifically home renovation as of 2015. He is best known in South Africa for producing and starring in the Afrikaans home improvement television series Vat jou goed en trek! (2015 - present) that airs on the Afrikaans network KykNET on DStv.[2][3][4] As of 2017 Conrey has been producing Reno Race[5], that airs during primetime on SA's number one channel namely SABC 1[6]. In 2023 Conrey starred in the reality lifestyle show "Fiks of Niks."[7]
Early life
Conrey was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa on 4 December 1986 where he grew up. After matriculating in 2005 Conrey furthered his studies in the field of law but left law at the end of his fourth year to pursue a career in entertainment.[8] Whilst doing a photoshoot in Camps Bay, Cape Town Conrey was spotted by a talent manager who persuaded him to refocus his attention on acting instead of modeling. After returning home from the shoot Conrey took up part-time drama classes at Stageworld and completed his associate diploma from the Trinity College in London and eventually decided to move to Johannesburg, South Africa in pursuit of a career as an actor.
Acting

After moving to Johannesburg, Conrey quickly landed a role on the popular Afrikaans soap opera 7de Laan that airs on SABC 2[9]. Other roles followed including playing the playboy David Jackson on the short-lived MNET's soap opera The Wild. On stage he played leads at the Johannesburg People's Theatre in musicals such as Disney Cinderella (2012) where he played the part of Prince Charming, as well as playing Geppetto (Fables) in Disney's Pinocchio[10] (2013).
Television productions
Conrey founded RichCon in 2014 as a production company focusing on producing television productions for South African audiences with business partner Richard Opperman.

Music
Conrey founded the boy band MAN[11] with longtime friend and fellow actor Andre Lotter in 2016. Man hosted the acclaimed talk show Digi-REIS (2016)[12] that aired on KykNET DStv. The band released their debut single "Plaasmeisie"[13] together with an accompanied music video in 2016.
The band is set to release new music in 2023.
Other endeavors
Conrey founded the real-estate company REALty (Real About Realty) in 2021 with business partner Richard Opperman.[14] With service offerings including residential and commercial real estate sales as well as auctions. As of 2022 REALty has been the headline sponsor of the home renovation television program Vat Jou Goed en Trek airing on KykNET, DSTV.
Conrey and Opperman are also the founders and directors of the construction company Warriors of Construction[15] providing building and renovation services to clients all over South Africa.
