The Henderson Heat are a Tier II junior simulated ice hockey team in the Major Electronic Hockey League. The Heat play their home games at America First Center in Henderson, Nevada.
History[edit]
In 2023, the Major Electronic Hockey League (MEHL) announced that they had approved the expansion for a Henderson Nevada MEHL Team to start play in the 2023-24 season as a member of Division 1.[1] The Heat were originally the Kingman Kings which played in Scottsdale, Arizona. They went 3 seasons in the MEHL and then decided to relocate to Henderson, Nevada to become the Heat. [2] The Heat relocation name and logo was announced in late June as the Henderson Heat. The Henderson Heat played there first season and even though they didn’t make the playoffs they still had a great season. After the Inaugural Heat Season the owner decided to remake the Heat Logo making it better and definitely more appealing.
