The Major Elite Hockey League (MEHL) is a virtual, simulated ice hockey league based in North America. It is currently in its 9th season of operation as of October 2024.[1] It is believed to be the oldest Simulated Hockey league on the internet, having lasted for 8+ years.
The teams play a 16-20 game regular season, starting in October and ending in early May with a playoff phase. Though the league has had to shorten the 2023-24 MEHL season too 13 games. The top teams of the MEHL Scott Cup Playoffs meet in a predetermined location to play in the Scott Cup Championship.
Gameplay[edit]
Similar to how sports are covered on the radio, the MEHL hosts streams on there Discord server and are starting to stream the games on YouTube on Ultimate Hockey Easton 2 YouTube Channel. Games will have music, goal horns, and cool effects as we get more advanced.
Streams take place on Ultimate Hockey Easton 2 channel[2], while they are usually announced the morning of in the Discord.

Playoffs[edit]
The Scott Cup Championship is a playoff series held at the end of the MEHL season. The trophy is awarded annually to the national MEHL playoff champion.
The Scott Cup gained its name in November 2023 after being named the MEHL Cup previously.
