Heo Youngji (born on August 30, 1994 in South Korea) is a South Korean idol singer, known for winning the tv show Kara Project in 2014, making her the newest member of girl group Kara, formed by DSP Media in 2007.

Prior to her debut she was a trainee under Core Contents Media and later under KeyEast.[1]

In May 2014, after former Kara members Nicole Jung & Kang Ji-young left the group, DSP Media launched a reality TV show called Kara Project which revolves around seven trainees who will compete to become future members of the group. On July 1, the live voting results commenced on 6:45 pm (KST). Heo Youngji was proclaimed the winner with a total score of 49,591.[2]
