Heuijung Hur

Heuijung Hur (Hangul: 허희정; born 1989) is a South Korean writer. Her career began in 2016 after she won the New Writer's Award from Literature and Society.[1] She is the author of Failed Summer Vacation (Korean: 실패한 여름휴가), a collection of short stories.[2]

Life[edit]

Heuijung Hur was born in Seoul.

Work[edit]

Hur has been described as a genre-less writer, her work incorporating elements from traditions as varied as magic realism, fabulism, speculative fiction, science fiction, contemporary realism, and more. Her writing has been praised by authors and critics such as Gu Byeong-mo and In Ah-young.
