High School National Ad Network

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The High School National Ad Network is a project by the American Society of News Editors' High School Journalism Initiative to steer national print advertising into high school newspapers. It is one of six projects in the initiative, which aims to improve scholastic journalism.

The non-profit advertising network, launched in 2006, includes more than 1,000 high schools representing over 1.6 million students.

It lets advertisers search for schools based on demographics or geography, selecting each as they see fit. Once they choose schools, they can upload ads, which are then sent to the individual high schools. Later, schools submit copies of the paper to the network, which forwards them to advertisers. It also processes payments to individual schools.

Schools are free to pursue local advertising.
