Himanjali Gautam (Hindi: हिमंजलि गौतम) is an Advocate at the Supreme Court of India. She has been handling cases independently, since 2016 and has worked as legal counsel for various notable organizations including Zoom (software) developers. She has assisted Senior Advocate, Mr. Pravin H. Parekh in legal matters and played an instrumental role in representing major driving associations like Reliance Industries Ltd. along with a number of important persons including the President of India and former Chief Ministers of India. She is a member at the Supreme Court Bar Association and enrolled as an Advocate in the Bar council of Delhi in the year 2012.

Early life and education

Himanjali Gautam was born and raised in a small town in UP, Jalesar in a politically affluent household. Himanjali graduated in 2009, B.A Political Science from Daulat Ram College, Delhi University post which she did LL.B from University of Delhi Law Centre II, Faculty of Law. She then went to OPJS University to pursue LL.M. She has led many Legal Awareness Initiative in schools and colleges in Delhi, UP, and Haryana which was widely covered and appreciated by various newspapers.

She was the President at Law Centre 2, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, and organized various Moot courts, Events, established societies like Legal Aid Society and the Human Right Society. She was also awarded as 'Best Student' of Daulat Ram College adjudged on the basis of overall performance in Academics and Extracurricular activities. She has also been Femina Style Diva 2013 finalist.

Career

Himanjali Gautam has been practicing law for 9 years now. She joined the Bar in 2012 and started working at the office of Mr. Pravin H. Parekh in the Supreme Court. After a while, she started working independently as an Advocate in the Supreme Court of India.

She has worked on Civil, Criminal, Revenue, Company, Competition, Family, Environment Law, and PIL cases. She has authored several articles and appears frequently on various national news channels on issues of national importance. She works independently, and has started her own law firm called Chambers of Himanjali Gautam. Chambers of Himanjali Gautam collaborates with various universities in India to organize seminars, webinars, e.t.c. Recently GNLU, Gujarat, and the firm collaborated to conduct a webinar on ‘Current Scenario of Cinema', on 27 July 2020. She has also raised her voice against Nepotism in the recent case of Sushant Singh Rajput.

She regularly appeared on National News Channels like Doordarshan, CNN-News18, Zee News, Republic Bharat TV, etc. as a Legal Expert and Political Analyst, Actively campaigned for BJP and led social media campaigns for programs like ‘Mai Bhi Chowkidar’, ‘Modi Once More’, ‘Saato Seetein Modi ko’ among many others during Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
