Ireland and Georgia first played each other at rugby union in 1998 when Ireland won 70-0 in Lansdowne Road as part of 1999 Rugby World Cup qualifying. They have played each other on four occasions, three times in Ireland, with the other match in the neutral venue of Bordeaux as part of the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Ireland have won all of the matches between the teams.[1]
