Hlahlindlela High School[edit]
Hlahlindlela High School is a public, English medium, The high school is located at KwaZulu Natal South Africa at the area called KwaNgcolosi near Hillcrest.
History[edit]
Hlahlindlela high School opened its doors for the first time on 20 January 1973 with an enrollment of 253 learners and a staff of 10. The school was officially opened in October 1976. The school's first principal was Mr Ndlela, the title of a school is derived from his surname, implying "pave the way" from isiZulu to English. Mr Ndlela served the school up to his passage after 15 years. Mr Ndlela was succeeded by Mr Motaung. Mr B Masango, is the current school principal.
Sport[edit]
The school offers numerous sports, most of which are played against other schools in tall level associations.
The sporting activities available are soccer, netball and cricket.
Arts and Culture[edit]
The school learners also participate in a yearly traditional Zulu music like Isicathamiya and indlamu.[1], [2].The school participation was shown in the south african newspaper[3]. The school was also used in the research study by University of UKZN on socio-cultural construction.[4]
