Holland Davis is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel in San Clemente, California[1] and a Calvary Chapel Christian worship leader,[2] songwriter, Bible teacher, and author based in San Juan Capistrano. His songs are published by Universal Music Publishing Group, Rolltop Music and Vineyard Music. He is most known for his song "Let It Rise," originally recorded by Paul Baloche and featured on the multi-platinum selling album WOW Worship: Blue. Big Daddy Weave recorded "Let It Rise" on their 2006 release "Every Time I Breathe," winning an ASCAP award as one of the twenty-five most-performed songs of 2006[3]. In 2006 "Let It Rise", as recorded by Big Daddy Weave, debuted at No. 24 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs Chart.[4] In 2005 "Let It Rise", as recorded by William Murphy, debuted on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs Chart at No. 29 and climbed to No. 2 in 2006. As of August 2018, "Let It Rise" maintains its position as one of the top 250 songs performed in American churches as reported by CCLI.[5] He is a columnist for Technologies For Worship Magazine.[6] His book, Let It Rise: A Manual for Worship, is published by Bridge Logos.[7][non-primary source needed]
