Hollowealth is an American post-hardcore band from Dallas, Texas[1] formed in 2006 under the name Euphony.[2]

History

2006-2009: Formative Years, Impact, Progress in Process

Euphony was formed in 2006 in Dallas, Texas by Shaun Saint Pierre, Brandon Crabtree, Junior Hernandez, Ryan Richardson, and Jeff Harlan.[3] They began working on music before releasing a demo on March 2, 2008, entitled Impact.[3] However, tension within the group led to the departure of Richardson and Hernandez in early 2009 and the subsequent recruitment of Jason Mendolia and David Escamilla.[4] With their newest additions, Euphony released a single entitled Progress in Process on July 11, 2009.[3]

2010-2012: Euphony, Hurricane Season, The Overheard Silence

Post-Progress in Process, the band began work on their next release, a three-song EP released on May 2, 2011, entitled Euphony. On April 12, 2012, the band released the single Hurricane Season and, following suit, September 2's The Overheard Silence. However, as Escamilla had been working with Crown the Empire as an unclean vocalist since August, in late 2012, he departed from Euphony to do Crown The Empire full-time.[2]

2013-2016: Name Change, A Dream I Can't Remember, The Distance Affair

The departure of Mendolia followed, before in late 2013, Euphony recruited ex-Set the Sun bassist Dakota Price[5] and Lucas Coté, before changing their name to Hollowealth.[2] On March 18, 2014, the newly christened Hollowealth released their first single entitled A Dream I Can't Remember followed by May 6, 2014's The Distance Affair.[2][6][7]
