Holly, Jolly
Holly, Jolly is the third episode of a TV show. While Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington have fun, Barb Holland wakes up inside of the upper side down, where a Demogorgon attacks her and drags her away. Nancy hears Barb’s screams of agony but dismisses it, thinking that it was an honest mistake and that it wasn’t her fault. Nancy decides to head home and notices Karen Wheeler in the living room, watching a movie. Jonathan Byers notices Joyce Byers talking to Will Byers, but believes she is high, since she was playing with lights. The 3 kids decide to look for Will, carrying food and weapons with them just in case something bad happens. Eleven uses her powers to make Mike Wheeler’s toy millennium falcon float, but it drops onto the ground. Since this toy was made out of Lego bricks, it shatters, Mike is angry and declares a battle at 3:15 at the school’s grounds. The next day at school, Nancy notices everyone looking at her, and she asks Steve if Barb was ever found, Steve says that she was mauled by wolves and that it was no problem. Nancy brushes this off as an accident. Steve notices that Barb isn’t in class. Eleven is practicing to fight Mike and starts to practice her moves. She is bored and starts watching TV. Remembering a time she was forced to crush cans. Joyce buys an unearthly large amount of Christmas lights because she is still high and trying to talk to Will. Jim Hopper is attempting to review footage of Will tumbling down the hill, but can’t find anything about it. He remembers how there are security cameras everywhere, and since it was not raining, they weren’t broken, meaning that he was lied to. As the boys collect rocks to use as weapons against Vecna, Mike gets teased for his apparent crush on El, but he brushed it off. Meanwhile, Joyce paints her wall with the entire English alphabet on her wall, as she is insanely high, she tries to talk to Will by lighting up the lights, Karen Wheeler and Holly Wheeler, concerned, decide to visit Joyce. They are horrified to see Joyce electrocuting herself in Will’s room. As they run, Nancy Wheeler calls Barb’s parents, who say that they think Barb is dead. This scares Nancy. Jonathan is worried for Joyce’s health. Eleven feels something. She tells the gang that she thinks Will survived. She brings them to a lake where she thought she saw Will. But instead she finds Will’s disfigured body, torn apart from having been tumbling down such a big hill, the three kids are horrified, and declare Will as dead, Mike blames Eleven for this.
