Early Life
Holly Wheeler was born to Karen Wheeler and Ted Wheeler inside of June 7, 1979. Her childhood was living inside of the Wheeler house and overhearing Mike Wheeler and his group of friends yapping about D&D.
Really Young
Holly has had a lot of adventures when she was young. She visited an electrocuted Joyce Byers with Karen, she was scared of Martin Brenner entering her house, and she watched the fireworks while on a Ferris wheel, all before she was 8.
Entering Whatsit
Holly believes she is being followed by Henry Whatsit, but since she always sees him she thinks that he is an illusion. During a regular school day, she gets driven to school by Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers, and she enjoys listening to the roosters outside squawking. During that day, she plays in the playground with Derek Turnbow when suddenly Holly's enemy Mary comes and starts bullying Holly, pushing her off the swing she was playing with Derek on. Holly sees Mr. Whatsit but starts yelling at him about how he isn't real, but Holly's teacher Miss Harris witnesses Holly talking to Mr. Whatsit and believes that she is talking to a complete stranger. During that night, she talks with Mike about her imaginary friend, where Mike encourages her to stop ignoring her imaginary friend and to use her imagination, but Holly does not listen. Later that night, Holly hears Ted and Karen arguing about a creep following her, and Holly is scared because she believes this creep is stalking her, so she cries in bed. She then sees her window getting a hole hit into it because of Ted playing golf, and she is annoyed, but then right at that moment, a Demogorgon appears. Holly runs to the bathroom and sees Karen bathing naked with vodka, and then she witnesses the Demogorgon destroying Ted. She then tries to escape house, but she watches Karen get stabbed by the Demogorgon, before she gets eaten. Holly then enters Borderland, where Mr. Whatsit starts having fun with her. She is tired of this and screams at him to do this to Derek instead. The next day, Mr. Whatsit makes Holly breakfast and tells her that he is going to find Derek to have fun with him. However, later that day, she reads a note from Mr. Whatsit telling her to meet him inside of the forest. When Holly arrives there, she finds out that Mr. Whatsit was actually Mr. Sandman. He tells Holly about his past and tells her to follow him into a cave so that they could hide. Holly learns that when Max Mayfield was no longer breathing, her house collapsed from explosives, which also caused an earthquake to start. Holly learns about The Massacre at Hawkins Lab, but also about how this was a weird place, and how sometimes music would start playing and how he tried to escape once when the music started but couldn’t reach the end. However, after all this, Holly decides to leave Mr. Sandman and go back to the house. However, after realizing how much other kids Mr. Sandman took, Holly leaves to run away, using Derek as a distraction for Vecna. However, the distraction fails and Vecna starts running towards Holly. Mr. Sandman jumps in front of Holly and starts to get choked, but Holly retaliates by stabbing Vecna. Holly and Mr. Sandman enter the cave again to learn more about Vecna, and luckily Vecna is unable to follow them because he sprained his ankle. Mr. Sandman tells Holly about Vecna’s past and how when he was a little boy, he entered a cave and saw Zharkov. Zharkov thought that Vecna was evil and told him to leave. Vecna started to leave, but saw a crate and was curious, so he opened it. He found a D20 inside, and after rolling it and rolling a 20, Zharkov is angry at Vecna. Frustrated, Zharkov pierces Vecna’s body with 20 bullets over his head, body, and limbs, blasting his brains out. Annoyed, Vecna kicks a pebble at Zharkov, resulting in his end and cursing him and forcing him to snap when a 20-sided dice was rolled. However, Mr. Sandman hears his least favorite song and starts running away, taking Holly with him. However, they reach a dead end, and Mr. Sandman realizes that Vecna will take both of their lives, he tells her to jump with her, and they both jump off opposite sides of a cliff. However, Holly is captured by Vecna and after processing Mr. Sandman being gone, cries and decides to honor his last wishes by jumping off a cliff.
