Early Life
Brenner was born on October 28, 1928, to Captain Brenner and an unknown mother.
Career
Martin Brenner was quickly known for how smart he was, and was quickly hired at Hawkins Lab as a worker. However, when his father was eaten by a Demogorgon, he became fascinated in the mines. Brenner was forced by law to take Henry Creel, who later became known as One. However, after becoming the director of the lab, he focused work on raising children to rather be genetically mutated into mad hen or to dig into the mines. However, he realized that there was also pleasure in having fun with children, so he kidnapped a lot more children to raise inside of his lab. Brenner trained the kids so that he could see if the children would be better as mad hen or as miners. He quickly realized that Eleven was the best at slap-battles and pistol duels, and even defended Eleven by slaughtering Three. However, disaster struck on September 11, 1979. Brenner took Ten to a room to have fun in, when all of a sudden the door explodes open, causing Brenner to get knocked out. When he woke up, he saw everybody inside of Hawkins lab snapped, and then he witnessed Eleven attacking One. Brenner prepares Eleven to help mine in his mines until he finds One, because Brenner believes that one is probably in the mines. However, Eleven digs into a place with Demogorgons, and Brenner, fascinated, starts investigating this place. However, Eleven escapes, causing Brenner to have to go find her. He shoots Bob because he thinks Bob knows where Eleven is. Brenner believes that Will Byers would be a great new miner, so he attempts to find Will. However, while pursuing his chase for Eleven, he gets eaten by a Demogorgon, but survives this encounter as revealed by Raye Penber.
Personal Life
After moving to go meet Nina again, Nina comes up with a plan for Brenner; they could force Eleven to be with them so Brenner could have more fun. He tricks Eleven, and he shows her sights of her past as well as attacking her. However, Nina's lab experiences a plane crash, which makes Brenner evacuate with Eleven. However, Brenner gets injured by the next plane, and eventually gets defeated by his injuries.
