19 Years Old Saurav Kumar Sinha, from Patna the capital of Bihar, started Dwellerin(Later named Homversity) while his initial years of computer science engineering at UPES Dehradun, Trying to solve a problem faced by him and his friends while finding and booking a hostel near his college. Presenting and winning multiple start-up events across the country his college project was on its way towards becoming a company.
Funding[edit]
RISE 2018 was a major turning point in the company’s track as they were one of the few start-ups from India to present at RISE Conference 2018 Hong Kong, China. And raised a $1,60,000 seed round from La-Gajjar Ventures India and the brand was renamed as Homversity University (Homes) in 2019.
In April 2019, the company launched operation in the Indian cities of Kota, Rajasthan,Dehradun,Jaipur,Sikar Ahmedabad and joining 30,000 beds in over 350 properties in a couple of months. Late 2019 the company started its phase two of expansion.
