Hong Kong Study Circle

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Hong Kong Study Circle was founded in 1951 to record and circulate information on the postage stamps and postal history of Hong Kong and the Treaty ports.

Activities

Whilst it is UK-based, it has members from around the world and it welcomes membership from around the world of collectors interested in Hong Kong and its unique postal history. It holds regular meetings in three locations in the UK: London, Repton, and Liverpool. Other meetings are also held in Hong Kong and Canada.

Publications

The study circle publishes a quarterly journal (in colour) and a newsletter in English, which is the medium for reporting, exchanging, and recording information, normally submitted by members. The Bulletin has been published continuously since 1951 and is issued quarterly free to members.

The website is accessible with articles available to everyone. A new feature of access to past Journals and Newsletters via the HKSC archive is restricted to members.

Annual Membership is £25/$40.
