Hope Funds for Cancer Research
The Hope Funds for Cancer Research is a 501(c)3 organization that was founded to encourage investigation of innovative cancer treatment and detection for the most difficult-to-treat and most understudied cancers. The Hope Funds for Cancer Research supports scientific and medical research programs aimed at increasing knowledge relating to cancer biochemistry to help in its prevention and treatment. The Hope Funds support postdoctoral research programs that they believe have the highest probability of success in addressing unmet medical needs. The grant process is informed by a group of leading scientists who compose the Hope Funds Scientific Advisory Council.
In addition to providing grants in the form of postdoctoral fellowships, the Hope Funds honors scientists, physicians, philanthropists, and advocates with the Hope Funds for Cancer Research Medals of Excellence. At the annual awards gala and a various program event throughout the year, the Fellows (and alumni Fellows) have the opportunity to interact with these giants in the oncology field who often serve as models for their careers and inspirations to their work.
