Hosea M. Nelson (born September 15, 1977) is an Assistant Professor or Chemistry at University of California, Los Angeles.

Prof. Nelson earned a B.S. in Chemistry from University of California at Berkeley in 2004 and a  Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology in 2012. After postdoctoral training at University of California at Berkeley, Prof. Nelson joined the UCLA faculty in 2015.

Hosea Nelson is best known for his research in the area of synthetic organic chemistry and for pioneering efforts in the elucidation of small molecule structures by an electron diffraction technique known as microED.
