Kwon Soon-young (Hangul: 권순영; born June 15, 1996), better known by his stage name Hoshi (Hangul: 호시), is a South Korean singer, dancer and choreographer under Pledis Entertainment. He is a member of South Korean boy group Seventeen. He is the leader of the performance team in Seventeen, consisting of members Jun, The8, and Dino. He is also a member of the Seventeen's special sub-unit BSS.

2015–present: Seventeen and solo activities
On May 26, 2015, Hoshi debuted as a member of Seventeen with their debut EP 17 Carat, where he participated in writing the lyrics for the track "Jam Jam".[1]
On March 21, 2018, Hoshi, along with members DK and Seungkwan, debuted as a special sub-unit BSS, or BooSeokSoon (Korean: 부석순), a nickname combining various parts of their names[2]. The group released their debut single "Just Do It" with accompanying music video and subsequent stage promotions[3]
On March 26, 2021, it was announced by Pledis Entertainment[4] that Hoshi would release his first solo mixtape, titled "Spider" on April 2, 2021. The mixtape, consisting of a single track of the same name, has writing credits from Hoshi and was produced by fellow group member Woozi, along with in-house producer Bumzu, and PRISMFILTER. While Hoshi took part in only the lyrics of the song writing process, he had a heavy hand in the choreography and took lead in the creative directing[5][6]
