Hostme is a global restaurant reservation software company founded in 2014 by Evgeny Popov[1] and headquartered in Washington, DC.[2]

Hostme officially launched in September 2015 as a customizable front-of-house system, including an app that combines reservation, waitlist, and table management into a single product.[3] The solution allows for API integration, meaning restaurants can merge Hostme’s features with existing corporate applications. Reservations are free for end users. As of mid-2022, Hostme had expanded to about 4000 customers[4] in 27 countries,[5] featuring nine languages.[6] Customers include Hilton Hotels and Miller's Ale House.[1]

The Hostme App is available on the Google Play Store[7] and on the Apple App Store[8].

Product Overview[edit]

For restaurants[edit]

Hostme's software allows restaurants to manage their waitlist, tables, reservations, and guestbook, orchestrate their server rotation, capture reservation deposits, and organize events. The service also provides analytics and reports to allow managers to measure and understand their business.[9] Hostme offers a choice of flat, monthly plans with no contracts, no setup fees, and no cover fees.[10]

For customers[edit]

Customers can book reservations for free using the Hostme App or via online widgets and other integrations. The app's waitlist function gives restaurant patrons the option to receive a text or call when their table is ready.[11]

History[edit]

In December 2017, Hostme received additional seed funding of nearly $600k.[12]

On January 8, 2019, Hostme partnered with Lightspeed POS. This was Lightspeed's first partnership with a reservation system.[13]

On February 13, 2019, Hostme announced that it raised $1.3 million in Series A funding from Schaffer Family Trust.[12][14]
