HotKid is a Canadian indie rock band based in Toronto, Ontario. HotKid has released multiple a number of LPs, EPs and singles, some with accompanying videos, and toured in Canada and the US.

History[edit]

Hotkid formed in 2005 in Cambridge, Ontario.

Hotkid's 2009 album, Someday Somehow, was mixed by Rick White.[1]

In 2010 drummer Rob Butcher joined the group, in time to take part in the recording of the album Under the Streetlight.[2] In 2011 the band went on an east coast US tour, supporting the Canadian band Sloan.[3] In 2011 they performed at the NXNE Festival in Toronto.[4]

In 2016 the group released a single, Neck, based on the Jian Ghomeshi trial.[5][6]

In 2017 Hotkid released a full-length album Late Night Mornings,.[7][8] along with a video for one of the songs, "Need a Friend".[9]
