Hranush Yeghoyan (Armenian: Հրանուշ Եղոյան; born 10 August 1976) is an Armenian professional make-up artist, beauty influencer, and entrepreneur. She coaches the Armenian national make-up team and is also the founder of the “Make-up Studio”[1] located in Yerevan, Armenia.
Early life
Hranush Yeghoyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia, on August 10, 1976. Hranush was fond of painting since childhood. In 1993, she got accepted to the Armenian Open University majoring in artistic design, from which she graduated in 1997 with a qualification of a fashion designer.
During her student years, Hranush has presented about 40 dresses at a fashion show organized jointly by famous Russian fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin and the “Brabion Flora Service”.
Career
During her university years, Hranush started attending makeup artistry and styling courses offered by the "Atex" fashion center. In 2000, she took makeup courses at the “Dolores Academy” in Moscow with Nanara Berezina, a well-known Armenian make-up artist, and then, in 2001, at the “Mod's Hair Moscow” school with Natalia Sergeenkova.
In 2001, Hranush underwent a seven-month internship at the TVS, STS, and Ostankino Russian TV stations, mastering television make-up.
Since the 2000’s, Hranush began working for the "Sergey Zverev" beauty salon based in Yerevan, Armenia, initially as an art director, then, after finishing her studies of makeup artistry, she started taking her first steps as a make-up artist in the same beauty salon.
Since 2003, Hranush has been teaching at the Armenian Union of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists and coaching the Armenian national make-up team. All of Hranush’s students have won and keep winning prestigious prizes in all competitions.
Hranush has collaborated with the “El Style” magazine since 2004.[2] She has worked for “Miss Armenia” the national beauty pageant, and has collaborated with Armenian celebrities such as Nazeni Hovhannisyan,[3] Sofi Mkheyan,[4][5][6] Arminka, Iveta Mukuchyan, Emmy (Armenian singer), Sirusho, Sona, Hripsime Hakobyan, Anahit Simonyan,[7] Lucina, Lusine Tovmasyan, Lilit Hovhannisyan, Inga and Anush Arshakyan, to name a few. Hranush has also worked with the participants of the Ukrainian "Via Gra" pop-group, the Russian pop singer Alla Pugacheva, Uzbek and Russian pop singer Aziza during their tours to Armenia.
She has had collaborations with Armenian stylists such as Armen Galyan, Ani Galstyan, Irina Vanyan, Armine Tadevosyan and photographers such as Zaven Khachikyan, Vigen Mnoyan, Artashes Martirosyan, Arnos, Arthur Hovakimyan, Robert Koloyan, Vahe Stepanyan.
Hranush has worked with the Armenian brand "Mary Stepanyan" and "LaGalleria Luxury Boutiques" during their look book shoots. She has also collaborated with famous Armenian brands such as "Kivera Naynomis", "Manuk Aleksanyan", "SONČESS", and "Ankasa"[8] during their fashion shows. Collaborations with the Armenian fashion designers is of significance importance to Hranush.
From 2017 to 2019, the Public Television Company of Armenia hosted Hranush as one of the experts specializing in makeovers for its TV project called “Regardless of Age”.[9]
In 2019 and 2020, Hranush was a member of the jury of the Oriflame Beauty Award.[10]
In 2020, Hranush collaborated with the Fashion and Design Chamber of Armenia[11] on a campaign that has been initiated to raise awareness about the existing environmental issues that are directly or indirectly connected to the fashion and textile industry.[12]
Make-Up Studio
In 2008, Hranush Yeghoyan founded and still manages "Make-up Studio” - the first make-up specialized salon in Armenia. "Make-up Studio" has been the leader in the field for 13 years to date.
