Huh Sang-man
Huh Sang-man (born c. 1943) is a South Korean agricultural scientist, academic, and government official. He served as the 54th Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and the 3rd President of Sunchon National University.[1]
Education
Huh obtained his Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. degrees in Agriculture from Chonnam National University.[2]
Career
Academic career
In 1982, Huh was appointed as a professor at Sunchon National University. He later served as the university's 3rd President from 1998 to 2002. During his tenure, he focused on regional academic development and educational administration.[3]
Government service
Huh served as the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry from 2003 to 2004 under the Roh Moo-hyun administration. His term involved overseeing national food security policies and agricultural reform measures.[4]
Later activities
From 2008 to 2012, he served as the Chairman of the Korea Social Welfare Council.[5]
