Hyatus Corp. is an apartment-hotel and serviced apartment company that manages short-term rentals in North America.[1] It was founded in New York City, and since 2016 has been based out of their headquarters in Manhattan, New York in the United States.[2]
History and services[edit]
As of June 2020, Hyatus managed 150 apartments and single-family homes in the United States, primarily in the North East. Hyatus is one of many companies that have recently emerged to compete in the short-term rental market by marketing properties through sharing economy sites such as Airbnb as well as more traditional booking platforms such as Booking.com and Expedia. Some of their competitors include Domio Inc., Lyric Hospitality and Sonder Corp.
In addition to managing apartments in existing buildings, Hyatus also buys, renovates, and then rents single-family homes. As of June 2020, Hyatus had development projects underway in New York City, Philadelphia, and Houston.[3]
Leaving New York City[edit]
Despite having been founded in New York City, in March, 2020, Hyatus announced they would be leaving New York City. The search process for their new headquarters is underway and the new location has not yet been made public.
