IC 4223 is a spiral galaxy located in Virgo constellation.[1][2][3] The galaxy is located 684 million light-years away from the Solar System and was first discovered by Guillaume Bigourdan, a French astronomer, who saw it on April 12, 1899.[4] Its diameter is around 120,000 light-years.[2]
