IM Entertainment (Hangul: IM 엔터테인먼트) is a South Korean entertainment company established in 2007 by Han Sung-soo. The company is a subsidiary of Hybe Corporation . The label was formerly known as IM Media, and renamed as IM Entertainment in 2014.

Currently home to K-pop artists such as Nana, After School, Orange Caramel,MAB, Victon and Fromis_9 and formerly home to artist like Son Dambi, Shannon, Lee Jun-young, Hello Venus,and Pristin.

History

2007–2010: Early artists

IM Media was founded in 2007. Son Dam-bi was the first artist to debut under the label, and was dubbed the 'female Rain' by media outlets. In its beginning stages, the agency did not have management premises, only a practice room.

After training in the United States,and signing as a solo artist with IM Media, Son Dambi returned to Korea and released an EP, Mini Album Vol. 1, with a focus on electronica on April 29, 2008. The lead single, titled "Bad Boy", was produced by Brave Brothers. Kahi (labelmate) was her dance teacher, and was featured in the Bad Boy music video.

On mid–2008, The label revealed that they will debut their first girl group called After School. After School was first formed following Kahi's departure from Korean-American girl group S-Blush, as Kahi began planning to produce a new group together with the current CEO of IM Entertainment. The first member other than Kahi was Bekah, who was a trainee while Kahi was in S-Blush. With Kahi's recommendation, Bekah was brought from Hawaii to South Korea. They were then introduced to Jungah, followed by Soyoung and Jooyeon, forming a five-member group.

After School as a group first made an unofficial appearance on December 29, 2008, at the SBS Song Festival. Kahi and Jungah performed "Play Girlz" alongside Son Dam Bi whilst the remaining members, Soyoung, Jooyeon and Bekah served as backup dancers for Son Dam Bi's performance at the event.

A few days before After School's official debut, IM Media announced that the group's music concept was heavily influenced by the Pussycat Dolls which will be very different from their pre-debut songs.On 15 January 2009, the group released their debut single album, New Schoolgirl. The album had three songs: the lead single "Ah!", "Play Girlz" and "Bad Guy" (나쁜놈). On January 17, Playgirlz made their live debut on MBC's, Music Core.Following promotional activities for "AH!", After School planned to continue to promote New Schoolgirl with "Bad Guy". However, the track was deemed unsuitable and was banned from broadcast because of a single word of profanity was in the lyrics.

On March 15, 2009, Son Dam Bi returned with her new single Crazy.

During the month of April, After School announced that a new member, Uee, was joining the group. The group then released their second single, "Diva" on 9 April 2009. They first performed the song on April 9 2009 on M! Countdown.After School went on to win the "Rookie of the Month" award for the month of April 2009 at the Cyworld Digital Music Awards with the single.

On June 27, 2009, Son Dambi and After School released a collaboration single Amoled.

On September 8, 2009, Son Dam Bi made her comeback with her second mini album Saturday Night.

On October 29, 2009, Soyoung officially graduated from After School to pursue an acting career. Two new members were then added to the group, Raina and Nana, and After School made a comeback on November 25, 2009 with the single "Because of You". The song marked a change for the group to a more mature and sophisticated concept,and became extremely popular, winning three Mutizen awards for the group on SBS' Inkigayo.

On February 25, 2010, After School released their third single album "Bang!" with new member Lizzy where the group took on a marching band concept. Kahi revealed that she was inspired after watching the American film Drumline, and had always wanted to do a marching band concept ever since she took to the stage as an After School member. The group practiced playing the drums for five months with a trainer for the single. The title track entered the Gaon Weekly Chart at number 2 and reached number 29 on the 2012 Gaon year-end digital chart with 2,374,731 digital downloads sold.

In June 2010, Raina, Nana, and Lizzy formed a sub-unit, revealed to be named Orange Caramel. Orange Caramel's concept was revealed to be more lighthearted and sweet unlike many girl groups that have taken on darker, sexier concepts. Their debut mini-album, The First Mini Album was released on June 21, 2010. The album was a commercial success, peaking at No. 2 on the Gaon Chart with the lead single "Magic Girl" peaking at No. 18. "Magic Girl" was a domestic hit and became famous for its choreography and outfits featuring large bows, with the song's concept proving popular as it was often parodied on variety shows throughout 2010. The mini-album was also released in Taiwan, where a Mandarin version of "The Day You Went Away", a cover from Cyndi Wang, originally by M2M, was also included. Both versions of the album included Raina's R&B solo, "Love Does Not Wait" (사랑을 미룰 순 없나요).

On September 19, 2010, Son Dam bi released her third mini album Queen

On September 28, 2010, IM Media launched a survival program named as Playgirlz Project, The programme centred around the search to find the 9th member of After School, Seven trainees from IM Media participated in the show, competing to become part of the group. The winners of the competition are Yoo ara placing 1st and Kyungmin placing 2nd. With the plans of adding Yoo Ara in January 2011 and will be followed by Kyungmin for the next comeback. However, after few weeks it was announced that E-young was chosen to debut with After School.

On November 18, 2010, Orange caramel's The Second Mini Album was released with the title track "A-ing". The music video for "A-ing" had a fairy tale witches concept.[2] The album peaked at No. 10 on the Gaon Chart and the lead single, "A-ing", peaked at No. 5. The second single released from the album, a solo by Raina titled "Not Yet..." (아직...), peaked at No. 42. The album also includes the song "One Love" and a Korean version of "The Day You Went Away" (이곳에 서서).

On December 24, 2010 IM Media released IM Kingdom 1st Album that consisted of four tracks: the title song "Love Love Love", "Someone Is You", and instrumental versions of the two songs. A portion of the profits from the album were donated to the "Save the kChildren" organization. Bekah did not take part nor participate in the promotions for this album due to her two-month break in Hawaii visiting her parents.

2011–2013: Second-generation artists and Joint Ventures

On January 14, 2011, The label announced that they will debut their first boy group. The pre-debut team IM BOYS, consists of 8 members Son Hyun-woo, Jinyoung, Dong-woo (CNU), Sandeul, Gongchan, Mark, Jun-young, and thai member Kunpimook.

On January 27 2011, IM Media announced that they had signed a contract with Japanese record label AVEX TRAX for their artists to begin activities in Japan by the end of March.After School started their Japanese activities by collaborating with Japanese R&B superstar Namie Amuro; featuring in the song "Make It Happen" for her collaboration album. This was the first release to include new member E-young, who was previously revealed to the public during the group's performance of "Bang!" at SBS' Gayo Daejun on December 31, 2010.In February 1 2011, the song won Best Collaboration at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2011.

On February 29, 2011, Orange Caramel's "Bangkok City" was released as part of the group's "One Asia" project. The single peaked at No. 3 on the Gaon Chart, thus making it the group's most successful single to date.

On March 11, IM Media debuted their first boy group MAB, composed of five members Jinyoung, Mark, Gongchan, CNU and Sandeul.Hyunwoo and Jun was dropped from the line up and while Kunpimook returned to thailand due to visa issues, It was unruled if they will be added to the group. A music video teaser for MAB's promotional single "O.K" was uploaded on March 19. The full music video, as well as their debut EP Let's Fly was released on March 21. The group made their debut performance on the March 23 episode of MBC's Show! Music Core.They had their subsequent debut stages on Mnet's M! Countdown, KBS' Music Bank, and SBS' The Music Trend on March 28, March 29, and April 1, respectively.

After School's first studio album, Virgin, was released on April 29 with new member E-young. The title track, "Shampoo", was composed by Japanese producer Daishi Dance, and the music video was released later that day. The music video for "Let's Step Up", the intro track on the album, featured After School performing a tap-dance routine, which was praised internationally by tap dancers such as Joseph Wiggan.After School began promotions for the "Shampoo" starting with KBS's Music Bank.

In June 2011, After School made a cameo as a female idol group, Pure, in the Korean horror film White: The Melody of the Curse. They performed segments of their hit song, "Bang!".

On June 17 2011, IM Media announced that original member Bekah was to 'graduate' from After School after concluding promotions for Virgin. Bekah released her 'graduation' song "Take Me to the Place" on July 11.

MAB began promoting "Only Learned the Bad Things" on June 18, 2011.The group, alongside Block B, starred on SBS MTV's reality show Match Up. It began to air on June 22. The music video for the second promotional single "Only Learned the Bad Things" was aired on the first episode.

On June 29, 2011, IM Media launched Pre-School Girls which is a training system composed of female trainees who are trained to be part of After School and future girl groups, they introduced the first three trainees – Yoo ara, Kyungmin, and Yoonjo. Kyung Min is one of the two finalist in IM search for after school's 9th member. Kyungmin participated and featured in After School's 1st Album Virgin in the track "Funky Man". Yoo Ah Ra is the other finalist in IM 9th member search and one of the most popular trainee in the company to fans. Yoo ara was featured in After School's Title track for "Happy Pledis" LOVE LOVE LOVE. Yoonjo is a new name among fans as she was well hidden by IM and was just revealed by featuring in After School's 1st album with the track "Dream" she was called the "hidden card".

On June 30, 2011 According to an unidentified insider, IM Media's rookie boy group MAB will be adding new members in the near future. As many of you know, MAB currently consist of 5-members. But according to this insider, the label plans on adding 4 more members, making a 9-member group.

In July, IM Media announced that After School would separate into two sub-units, After School Red & Blue as part of the group's second comeback project for the year, with the units releasing "In the Night Sky" and "Wonder Boy" respectively. MAB's CNU, Sandeul, Gongchan, Mark alongside with two trainees Lee jun-young and Jang Doyoon who was rumored to be the new members of MAB became back up dancers of After School Blue for Wonder Boy.

On July 9, After School held their second official Korean fan meeting at Sookmyung Women's University. 'Graduate' Bekah joined the fan meeting.

Prior to After School's official debut in Japan, Playgirlz held a showcase in Japan at Akasaka BLITZ in Tokyo on July 17, 2011, selling out tickets within one minute.

After School's Virgin was released in the Philippines on July 23, 2011, along with Bang! and Happy IM 1st Album, and it debuted at number one on the Philippines AstroChart, while Bang! debuted at number two and Happy IM 1st Album at number three.

After School officially debuted in Japan on August 17 with the release of their first Japanese single, "Bang!", which peaked at number seven on the Oricon Weekly Chart. After school also participated in the prestigious 'a-nation' concert tour as part of their Japanese promotions.

MAB's second EP, It MAB, and its lead single "Beautiful Target" were released on September 15, 2011. The group promoted the album on Music Bank, Show! Music Core, The Music Trend, and M! Countdown. MAB began promoting "My Love" on September 20.

On October 11, 2011, IM Media introduced trainees Lee Jun-young, Jang Doyoon and Yusang as new members of MAB (making it a 8-membered group). The label stated that Jun had been part of the group's original lineup but was dropped following delays in production of the group's debut album.

On October 28th, IM Media announced that MAB leader Jinyoung will be taking a hiatus to recover for health reasons. The label stated on the group's official fan cafe, "MAB's Jinyoung went under a medical checkup after feeling unwell during the latest promotions, and we've decided to halt all activities for a while per medical professionals' advice that he needs to rest and get treated."

Orange Caramel continued the "One Asia" project with the release of "Shanghai Romance" on October 13, which peaked at No. 8. The song's lyrics were written by Kim Hee-chul of Super Junior. The single had two B-sides: "Close Your Eyes" (눈을 감아), a solo by Nana, and the Mandarin version of "The Day You Went Away". A Japanese version of "Shanghai Romance" was later released as a bonus track on After School's debut Japanese album, Playgirlz.

The promotional campaign for Kahi's solo debut started in mid-November 2011, with the album jacket photos released on November 9 and a teaser video on November 12. The album photos were noted for highlighting the singer's "S-line", while netizens and news articles commented on the contrasting "black vs. white" images and "charisma" in the teaser. The mini-album was then released on November 14, 2011. The music video for "Come Back, You Bad Person" was released on November 14, 2011 and Kahi began promotional activities on 18th.

After School's second Japanese single, "Diva", was released on November 23. The single was accompanied with a new Japanese song called "Ready to Love".

On December 1, 2011, MAB released their double comeback single, Neverland, with the singles "Neverland" and "Someday".

Happy IM 2011, with the lead single titled Love Letter was released on December 20 and featured all IM Media artists, including Son Dam-bi, After School, MAB and trainees Yoo Ara, Siyeon. A portion of the "Happy IM" earnings were donated to UNICEF, and the album was also a gift to the fans. The group also partnered with Shibuya 109 for a Christmas advertising campaign.Playgirlz ended the year by headlining the MTV EXIT live concert along with American band The Click Five on 17 December 2011 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

On December 29, 2011, After School and MAB along with solo artist Hyunjoong performed a special stage collaboration on SBS Gayo Daejun.

On January 7, 2012, MAB released their music video version of Happy IM's Love Letter.

On January 19,2012, MAB made an appearance in Weekly Idol.

On January 23, 2012, MAB won Rookie Award on Seoul Music Awards

After School's third Japanese single was a double A-side single consisting of two songs, "Rambling Girls" and a Japanese remake of their 2009 hit "Because of You". The single was released on January 25, 2012, and debuted at number six on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart. The single then debuted at number seven on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart with sales of 12,110. Since then, the single has sold over 17,000 copies in Japan.

On February 19, 2012, Orange Caramel's "Bangkok City" was released as part of the group's "One Asia" project. The single peaked at No. 3 on the Gaon Chart, thus making it the group's most successful single to date.

On February 29, 2012, After School released a promotional digital single, "Just in Time", to promote the new album which was released the following month. "Just in Time" is also used in a Samantha Thavasa commercial featuring Playgirlz, who are models for the fashion company.

After School's first Japanese album, Playgirlz, was released on March 14, 2012. The album contains all their Japanese singles plus a Japanese version of their latest Korean single, "Shampoo", and six original Japanese songs. The regular edition of the album also included a Japanese version of Orange Caramel's "Shanghai Romance" as a bonus track. The album debuted at number six on the Oricon Daily Album Chart, with estimated sales of around 11,000 on the first day. The album debuted at number eight on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart with sales of 16,000

On March 15,2012, The label stated "Jinyoung has been on hiatus since the end of last year due to health issue. Although he sat out during prior promotions, fans were excited to see him in jacket photos and hear that he had participated in the recording of MAB’s upcoming single “Dora Dora.” However, the agency recently released a statement saying Jinyoung’s would not be participating in broadcast activities.

On March 25, MAB released their comeback single, DoraDora. In April, "DoraDora" gained the #1 spot on the German Asian Music Chart.

On April 23, 2012, Avex Trax announced that After School would release their fourth Japanese single, "Lady Luck/Dilly Dally", on June 13, 2012. The single is a double A-side single and the regular edition also contains an additional track, "Slow Love", which is the song used on the Eyefull Home commercial. The single debuted at number 3 on Oricon's daily Singles Chart with sales of 7,648 and at number 6 on Oricon's weekly Singles Chart with sales of 13,424 respectively. As of the end of 2012, the single has sold over 17,000 copies in Japan.

After School started their promotion tour for Playgirlz in late April. With a total of four dates, the tour kicked off at Zepp Tokyo on April 27, followed by Zepp Nagoya on April 28 and Namba, Osaka on April 30. The tour's first stop at Zepp Tokyo on April 27 marked the admission and first performance of new member Kaeun, who joined the group on stage to perform "Let's Do It" and the Japanese version of "Bang!". Darlene continued to make appearances for the other stops on the tour.

IM Media collaborated with Fantagio Entertainment, an acting agency, for Hello Venus showcase in April. Yoo Ara and Yoonjo were trainees of Playgirlz, both having performed on their first album Virgin and were originally intended to join the group. Yoo Ara, along with fellow IM trainees Kim Kyungmin and E-young were the final three candidates to become Playgirlz's ninth member, but E-young was chosen instead.

In May 2 2012, the agency joint ventures with Fantagio debuted six-members girl group, Hello Venus.[1].The group was originally an eight-member line-up; consisting of the six girls and IM Trainees Kyungmin and Nicole. Both trainees departed IM shortly before Hello Venus's debut. The group debut with their debut album Venus. Member Yoonjo was unable to perform with their debut promotions due to leg injury but was featured on their debut music video. They were first introduced to the public through the reality show Birth of Venus on Mnet.

On May 12, 2012, Yoonho was announced as MAB's new member, making the group a 9-membered group.

On June 5, IM Media announced that Kahi would graduate from the group to pursue a solo career, as well as to study acting. After School's tour finished on June 17 at Tokyo Dome City Hall, which was also the last time Kahi performed with the group. She stayed with the group until September to help with promotion.

After School's fifth Korean single album, Flashback, and a music video for the title track were released on June 20. This was the first release to include new member Kaeun, as well as being the first release to not include Kahi. Jungah, who was revealed to be the group's new leader after the departure of Kahi, said that the album's title refers to the group's desire to return to their original image and produce music for all ages.

Hello Venus continue to release new digital single, Like a Wave on July 4 2012. The single was a part of re-release their debut mini album, Venus.

On July 8, 2012, MAB's first studio album, Spectacular, along with its title track "Aftermath" was released. This was their first comeback as 8 with leader Jinyoung returning to promotions following his hiatus. The album contained 11 tracks. They had a showcase to promote the album, performing various songs.

On July 18, 2012, After School made an appearance on Weekly Idol.

According to a statement released by IM Media on July 23, KST, MAB member Yusang sustained an ankle injury "while taking up their rehearsals for their japanese fanmeeting." He immediately went to a hospital for treatment, and while there are currently no other issues, he will need to wear a cast for protection and recovery.

On July 25 and 26, MAB held their first fanmeeting in Japan, with Yusang only performing one song due to an alleged leg injury. After the concert, CNU took to Twitter and posted "There are differences in levels of determination. Let us have more determination", while the other members agreed, with Gongchan posting "The differences in levels of determination ^^, Always be humble ^^ and sensible ^^ I applaud you, acting genius ^^". Subsequently, Yusang tweeted "Sometimes, even determination alone is not enough. At times like these, I feel upset but I trust that it's a blessing in disguise from the heavens. God, you know everything right?". This event caused Korean netizens to suspect that there was conflict between the group members. Netizens retweeted the messages and speculated that Yunsung was being bullied, sparking a huge firestorm of controversy and backlash against the members. When the bullying controversy got out of hand, IM Media abruptly announced Yusang's immediate departure on July 30, after being with the group for nine months. IM's CEO, Han Sung-soo, claimed that Yusang's contract was terminated because staff members felt his behavior was hurting teamwork, and that the bullying controversy was not the reason for his departure. By this point public opinion was almost universally in favor of Yunsung, and the extreme negative reaction the other members received caused the group to temporarily suspend activities, although the members continued with their individual activities. At the time, both sides of the situation said that there was no bullying, only natural conflicts between the members.

On August 1, 2012, MAB (excluding Jun and Doyoon) and Hello Venus made an appearance on Weekly Idol.

On August 2, 2012, The label announced that new member Yoonho will be joining MAB at the end of the year as planned originally.” Recently, some media outlets forecasted that Yoonho might be joining MAB sooner than planned based on MAB’s Japanese official website. This theory became more credible as Yusang was dismissed from the team on July 30 and the originally planned 8-member system was hindered. However, MAB's official website in Japan does not mention anything about Yoonho joining the team sooner. "After a preparation period, another new member Yoonho will be added to the team.” The website does not state exactly when Yoonho will be a member of MAB. IM Media emphasized that Yoonho will not be a member of MAB until later through a press release. The official statement reads, “MAB will keep the 7-individual system for now and Yoonho will be joining the team after December 2012 as planned originally.”

Orange Caramel debuted in Japan on August 10, 2012 with a cover of 1970s pop group Candies song "My Sweet Devil". They returned to Korea and released their first studio album, Lipstick on August 20.

On August 28,2012, Yusang revealed that he wasnt bullied while in the group. He tweeted "Having come across articles about CNU unni’s leave from his schedules, my heart felt uneasy. It is true that there were confrontations due to differences in opinions with the MAB members while I was promoting as part of MAB. However, with the stories about bullying going around and the situation growing worse, my heart was in pain. Both sides have also been really upset and hurt by the distorted facts [that have come out]. However, there were times when I was happy while we were all under one roof, so I want to forget about the past and want us to cheer each other on with smiles on our faces. You all showed so much love, care, and attention to MAB, so I’m very sorry for having caused concern and worry through this incident to everyone.”

On August 29, 2012, MAB released their Japanese-language single "Oyasumi Good Night", which also debuted at number four on the Oricon weekly singles chart, selling 35,779 in its first week. Members Jun and Doyoon did not partake on the single due to only the five members have officially signed contract with AVEXTRAX.

In September 3, 2012, Shannon, Eyoung (member of After School) and Son Dambi released a collaboration single, Day and Night and Shannon also was featured in singer Yangpa's song, "Together".

On September 8, 2012, Son Dambi released her fifth mini album "Tears Pouring Down"

Tickets for MAB's first solo concert, BABA MAB, went on sale on September 18, 2012. The concert was co-produced by IM Media and CJ E&M's global concert brand, M-Live. Before ticket sales began, 75,000 people were on the server waiting to buy the tickets resulting in 8,000 tickets to be sold out in 5 minutes once ticket sales opened. From October 8–9, 2012, MAB held their first solo concert BABA MAB at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium

On September 23, 2012, Orange Caramel released the single "Lipstick DJ Remix". It consisted of two remixes of "Lipstick" by DJs Vodge Diper and Hanmin. Vodge Diper's remix was subsequently used in their live TV performances.

On October 16, 2012, five months after their debut, Hello Venus became endorsement models for Bugs 3.0, a smartphone music application from Neowiz Internet.

On October 31, 2012, Orange Caramel made an appearance on Weekly Idol.

MAB's third EP, In the Wind, was released on November 12, 2012; they began performing the promotional single "Stop Girl" on M! Countdown on November 15, as well as on Music Bank, Show! Music Core, and The Music Trend the following days. On the recording video, fans noticed that Yusang was present. The label revealed that the EP was recorder few weeks before their japanese fanmeeting so it was most likely that Yunsung did partake on the album.

On November 23, 2012, Orange Caramel made an appearance in Weekly Idol.

On December 11, 2012, A Staff from IM Media revealed about the conflict between Yusang and his group resulting his departure. At the time of the situation, MAB was in Japan for their schedule. While other members were working hard to rehearse, Yusang announced that his leg is in pain and need to be hospitalized. CEO Han Sung Soo revealed that Yusang’s legs are totally fine, but she still went to the airport on crutches and insisted on resting due to her injury. A staff who is an acquaintance of Yusang had told the MAB’s member: “Yusang was walking in the bathroom without bandages or crutches.”

On December 17, 2012 Hello Venus' second extended play What Are You Doing Today? was released. The album contains five tracks, with the lead single titled "What Are You Doing Today?".

Starting in January 2013, IM Entertainment introduce IM Boyz as they appeared in regular live broadcasts of a show called IM Boys TV on the online streaming platform UStream. The show had multiple seasons in which the 17 trainees were introduced and shown practicing performances, with some seasons ending in Like IM Boys concerts.

Promotions for "What Are You Doing Today?" concluded on January 3,however on January 4,Tricell Media announced that the group would begin promoting their follow-up song, "Romantic Love" immediately, with the first performance on MBC Music's Show Champion the same day.

On January 7, 2013, the Recording Industry Association of Japan released the list of winners for the 2013 Japan Gold Disc Awards where MAB won two awards. In the same month, BABA MAB in Japan was held in two cities, with four shows held between the 27th and the 30th.

On January 25, 2013, Hello Venus made an appearance on Weekly Idol.

On February 3, 2013, Hello Venus & MAB performed at ISAC Celebration Stage.

On February 12, 2013, IM Media announced the new reality tv series 'Diary: Season 3' the gives 2 up-and-coming k-pop groups (Hello Venus and MAB) cameras allowing them to film their life behind the scenes as they promote and grow together as groups.

On February 13, 2013, Hello Venus won Rookie Group Award on the "2nd Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards"

After School held a fan meeting in Thailand on February 23, 2013 and performed in front of over 3,000 fans. Due to the success of the fan meeting in Bangkok, After School held another fan meeting in Taiwan on March 30. This meeting was also held as a charity event with the proceeds from the ticket sales going to children in need. A total of 1,000,000 Taiwan dollars was raised for charity.

On March 8,2013, IM Media officially launched their first official in-house label Collabodadi Label.

The group's first Japanese studio album, Orange Caramel, was released on March 13, 2013. It included their previous Japanese singles and Japanese versions of their Korean singles, as well as some new songs.

On March 24, 2013, Hello Venus held their first fan meeting since their debut.200 fans attended the event at the Seoul Hong-dae V-Hall where the "Hello Venus 1st Mini Fan Meeting I'm Your Venus" was held.

On April 2, 2013, The label released a statement, "MAB first unit group 'uBEAT' consisting of Mark,Jun and Jinyoung, will debut by April. They will begin their new activities then." On April 17, MAB's first subunit 'uBEAT' have released their first mini-album, 'Should Have Treated You Better'.

Hello Venus released their third extended play Would You Stay For Tea? on May 2 2013, with a total of four tracks including the lead single "Would You Stay For Tea?".The following day, Tricell Media announced that the group will hold their first solo concert at Sogang University's Mary Hall on 22 June.

On May 7, 2013, MAB's second sub-unit MAB-CDG first performed as an unofficial unit at MAB's 1st Inspirit Inauguration. The trio composed of CNU, Gongchan and Doyoon did a cover of Orange Caramel's "Bangkok City" which was well received by fans.

On May 20, 2013, uBEAT held a press conference to share their brief 4-day trip to the United States last week upon Chris Brown's invitation. MAB member Yoonho also joined the conference, marking his first activities with the group.

On May 12, 2013, Orange Caramel released a collaboration with indie band 10cm. The single is a remake of 10 cm's "Hug Me" (안아줘요) and is part of LOEN Entertainment's "Re;code" project.

On June 5, 2013, MAB-CDG first mini album Azure was revealed, closely followed by the announcement that MAB-CDG would be debuting in Korea the following week. Azure and its music video for "Heartthrob" was released on June 8. The sub-group made their official music show debut on Music Bank on June 9. On June 12, MAB-CDG became the first MAB sub-group or solo to be nominated for first place on a music show.

After School's sixth Korean maxi-single, "First Love", was released on June 13, and was produced by Brave Brothers. This single marked the first time the group had worked with the producer since "Because of You" in 2009.

On July 20 2013, IM Media announced that the MAB Jun visited the hospital earlier that morning as he was feeling unwell, and he is currently recovering after receiving medical treatment. Due to his condition, he will not be attending MAB's upcoming promotions.

On July 27, 2013, IM Media announced that Jun would be taking an indefinite hiatus on MAB due to health issues. Following Jun's hiatus, the label stated that Yoonho will be added to unit uBEAT and that Yoonho will only take part on the unit.

On August 3, 2013, Hello Venus and MAB, respectively, have come together for a promotional music video for the school uniform brand they endorse “Skoolooks.” Specifically, they are promoting Skoolooks’ 2013 uniform concept, “Breathtakingly Pretty Jacket Mini.”

In August 16, 2013, it was announced that MAB member Doyoon had got a role on the drama special Happy! Rose Day, marking his acting debut. He gained attention from the drama's audience for his good looks.

On August 29, The label denied the rumors of Doyoon leaving MAB. A source from IM Media stated, “The rumors of MAB’s Doyoon leaving the group are completely untrue. The reason why Doyoon has not been participating in recent schedules is because he is filming a drama”

On September 2, 2013, Hello Venus released single Where Are You Now? OST for series "After School Bokbulbok".

On September 7, 2013, MAB made their comeback with The single "What's Going On?", from MAB's fourth EP, What's Happening?. The single won the top spot on MBC Show! Music Core chart in September, marking the group's first music show win.

On September 19, 2013, Hello Venus performed on KORUS Festival held in Bull Run Park in Virginia, USA.

After School fifth Japanese single "Heaven", was released on October 2. "Heaven" debuted at number 6 on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart with over 18,596 copies sold during its debut week.

Later over 4 years from her last solo release, The label announced on October 25, 2013 that Kahi would be releasing her second mini album, titled "Who Are You?", on November 10.

On November 5, 2013, Orange Caramel made an appearance in Weekly Idol.

On November 6, 2013, It was announced that Hello Venus to take on 'Hello Beauty School' for new variety series. On KBS Joy's 'Hello Beauty School', the six members will be attending college to study skin care. Alongside their classmates, they'll be learning the ins and outs of creating makeup as well as living the campus life. Guiding the girls of Hello Venus will be comedian Jang Dong Min.

On November 7, 2013, Yoo Ara made an appearance in tvN's Perfect Singer singing BoA's "Atlantis Princess".

On November 11, 2013, IM Media and Chinese agency Yuehua Entertainment held a press conference titled "Yuehua Entertainment X IM" at the Beijing Banquet Hall, marking the start of a collaboration under which the sub-unit MAB-M was formed with the addition of Chinese member Jason Fulong Fei, known as JA. The six-member team performed for the first time at the press event.

On November 30,2013, it was reported that Jang Doyoon would be withdrawing from the MAB due to difficulty balancing work as both an actor and idol. This was later confirmed by IM Media via the group’s fancafe. With his leave, MAB will continue as a with the original five members (supposedly six with Jun on hiatus). IM Media said, "MAB will continue on with its activities with five members consisting of Jinyoung, CNU, Sandeul, Mark, and Gongchan.” They added, “We will not only fully support MAB’s future group activities, but also the members’ individual activities and Doyoon’s activities as well.”

On December 8,2013, uBEAT confirmed that they are planning for an American debut around February, but the exact date can change. What more, the subunit will now be promoting with Yoonho instead of MAB member, Jun.

On December 19, 2013, the music video for "Shh", After School's sixth Japanese single, was released on YouTube.

On December 24, 2013, Son dam bi released her first full album Red Candle.

On December 28, 2013, IM Entertainment hold 'IM Kingdom' concert for the first time. Son Dambi, Shannon, Kahi, After School, Orange Caramel, MAB, Hello Venus and Collabodadi label artist’ Bestie are the performers on the concert. IM Entertainment's 2013 IM KINGDOM – ONE concert with the IM artists will take place at KINTEX in Ilsan.

2014–2015: Relaunch, Artist Changes and financial issues

At the beginning of 2014, After School began filming a beauty variety show for KBS titled After School's Beauty Bible. The show focused on the members becoming beauty editors and providing the viewers with information and tips about Korean beauty, with topics ranging from makeup to style and trends. The show became quite successful and aired in over 100 countries through KBS World's YouTube channel. The second season of the show began airing in September.

On January 5, 2014, Shannon appeared on JTBC's Hidden Singer 2 for the King of Kings finale round and performed IU's "Good Day" and Beyoncé's "Listen", but was eliminated before the final round.

On January 9,2014, uBEAT held their US promotions in NYC. It was their first performance with new member Yoonho.

MAB released their second Korean studio album Who Am I and the title song "Lonely" on January 13, 2014.

On January 23, 2014, Hello Venus participated in Mnet's 'Idol Battle', the group compete against girl group 2EYES.

On January 25, 2014, MAB–M performed the Chinese version of "Sleep Talking" at Top Chinese Music in China.

On January 29, Shannon released her pre-debut single "Remember You" featuring MAB's CNU was released to commemorate the end of her three-year training for her debut.

On February 7, 2014, Yoo Ara made a comeback appearance in tvN's Perfect Singer singing IU's "Red Shoes"

On February 12, Shannon made an appearance on her labelmate showcase, MABest, which aired on SBS MTV. She performed "Let It Go", a song from the film Frozen, and Rihanna's "Diamonds" with trainee Siyeon.

On February 12, 2014, After School (except for Uee and Jungah), Hello Venus and girl group Bestie performed at the opening of Idol Star Athletics Championships.

MAB held their third solo concert, titled 2014 MAB Concert The Class, on February 15–16 at the SK Olympic Handball Stadium at Olympic Park.

On February 20, 2014, After School released a single titled "Week" in collaboration with Brave Brothers for his 10th anniversary project.

On March 4, 2014, etoday published an article outlining the financials for IM Media for the fiscal year of 2014. Since IM Media is a publicly traded company on the KOSDAQ, they must release financial statements to investors. According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system, The label posted an operating loss of 5.7 Billion KRW (approximately $5 million USD) in 2014. This is a stark loss compared to the previous year as according to etoday, The label posted an operating profit of 710 Million KRW (approximately $616,000) in 2013. A rep from IM stated, "Our sales decreased with our label artists' growing. We also suffered losses due to an expansion of our management portfolio and an increase in expenditures."

On March 8, 2014, After school (except for Uee) and Kahi performed "Let's Do it" and their hit single "Bang!" on Music Core.

Orange Caramel's third single, "Catallena" was released on March 12. In the music video, the group appear as mermaids before turning into different types of sushi. The song has a Bollywood-inspired disco beat and samples a Punjabi wedding folk song.The single peaked at No. 5 on Gaon's album chart and No. 6 on the digital chart, as well as No. 4 on Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100. The group's performances of the song went viral on social media sites due to the "screaming" during the introduction of the song.

After School's second full-length Japanese album, Dress to Kill, was released on March 19, 2014. The album has twelve tracks including "Heaven", "Shh", and "Ms. Independent", the title track. The album was released in three versions: a CD + DVD version which includes music videos and a special fanmeeting video, a CD version with a bonus track of the Japanese version of "Flashback", and another CD version (Mu-mo special) with the bonus track "Lucky Girl".

On March 21, 2014, Hello Venus performed at Daegui World Wop K-Dream Concert.

On March 23, 2014, Hello Venus' Yoo Ara features in the music video of Baechigi's "Dduraeyo".

On April 14, 2014, After School's Kaeun, and Hello Venus' Lime was featured in the MV of "Yahage" by New Champ.

On April 25, 2014, Hello Venus performed at Pomegranate Spring Xian event.

On May 13, 2014, IM Media has removed Jun's photo from the official MAB page of the label, leading fans to worry about the fate of the MaB member. According to a report by Kpopstarz, Fans are now seeking an explanation from the agency after IM's website showed only five members promoting as MAB. Doyoon, who left the group last year to focus on his acting career, is now listed as a solo artist."Jun is still a member of IM Media, and it is only recently that MAB reorganized into their original line up," IM Media said in a brief statement.

Orange Caramel released a promotional single, "Abing Abing", on May 20. The song was used to promote Baskin Robbins' new line of ice cream bingsoo, or patbingsu, a Korean shaved ice dessert. At the end of 2014, it was number 12 on Billboard's list of the 20 best K-pop songs of the year.

On May 27, 2014, Hello Venus performed at childfund.kr event and on May 31, the group performed at the KBS-W Camping Music Festival.

On June 12, 2014, Raina and rapper San E released an R&B duet called A Midsummer Night's Sweetness. The collaboration topped all major music charts in South Korea soon after it was released, and it was No. 4 on the year-end Gaon Digital Chart.

On June 15, 2014, Hello Venus performed at Let's Run Park Concert.

On June 21, 2014, Doyoon, a former member of MAB, left a heartfelt post on the group’s official fan cafe. He revealed that he has been forced to leave the group. Fans interpret the post as that it absolutely was not Doyoon’s will to go away the team and switch into an actor.

In July 2 2014, Orange Caramel released the book Youth Travel (청춘 여행), which contains short essays and photos of the group visiting Seoul and Jeonju.

MAB released their 5th mini album with the title track "Solo Day" on July 14 and their first performance for "Solo Day" on July 16 on M! Countdown. It was announced that MAB would be appearing at 'The 12th Korea Times Music Festival' and KCON 2014 in Los Angeles, California.IM Media also announced MAB's first world tour 'Road Trip'.

On July 17, Doyoon was removed from IM's official website, officially announcing his departure from the label after 3-years.

On July 27, 2014, Yoo Ara, trainees Yooho, Hanse and Seungwoo released a second version of Raina's "A Midsummer Night's Sweetness".

It was announced on July 31st 2014 via Hello Venus' official Daum café that IM and Fantagio had decided to terminate the Hello Venus project. Alice, Nara, Lime, and Yooyoung will continue to promote as Hello Venus, while Yoo Ara and Yoonjo will return to IM, pursuing careers in acting and continue their careers in music. The remaining members will work on releasing a new album, and will also be venturing into acting. Hello Venus will now be managed solely by Fantagio.

On August 8, 2014, IM Media released their new artist called NUBOYZ, The hip-hop team composed of 4 members Seungwoo, Hanse, Mingming and Yoonho (confirming that his debut with MAB was dismissed).

On August 11, 2014, The label stated “Jason is no longer under Yuehua. They’ve changed their weibo from MAB-M to MAB-CHINA so MAB they’re going to promote in China as 5, So Jason is no longer in the group.”

On August 13, 2014, MAB made an appearance on Weekly Idol.

On August 20, 2014 Orange Caramel's new single, "My Copycat" was released. The theme of the music video is based on Where's Waldo? and prompts viewers to find the Orange Caramel members in different scenes as well as spot the differences between similar side-by-side shots. It was directed by video production team duo Digipedi who had previously worked with the group on "Catallena" and "Lipstick". The single peaked at No. 8 on Gaon's album chart and No. 19 on the digital chart. A music video for the B-side track "The Gangnam Avenue" (강남거리) was released on September 3. Later that month, the group released their first soundtrack single, "Tonight" for the television series It's Okay, That's Love.

On September 1, 2014, it was announced that IM Media will changed their name to IM Entertainment.

After School's second Japanese tour, "Dress to SHINE", began on September 21 in Tokyo and ended on September 24 in Osaka.

In October 5 2014, Raina became the first After School member to make a solo debut after Kahi with the release her solo single titled Reset, which was released on October 8. The single consists of title track You End, and Me and b-side track Repertoire.

On October 21,2014, Orange Caramel’ Raina released a single titled Superwoman featuring Jun. The single was later included in pre-released Orange Caramel 1st full album.

On November 5, 2014, Orange Caramel made an appearance in Weekly Idol

On November 21, 2014, Yoo Ara uploaded a video to Instagram, showing her with a guitar case and a bag, walking out of a building. It has since been deleted. Later that day, Urban Works Entertainment uploaded a profile for Yoo Ara on their website, showing that Yoo Ara had departed from IM Entertainment. Ara's signing with Urban Works was formally announced on December 1.

On November 30 2014,IM Entertainment debuted solo artist Shannon. She made her official debut with released digital single titled "Daybreak Rain". The single charted at number 32 on Gaon digital chart.

On December 4, 2014 NUBOYX released a five-track predebut mixtape titled Mixtape Vol.1:NUBOYZ. The label also confirmed that the team have the aim to debut in mid 2015.

In December 6, 2014, Lizzy was cast as a member of the second season of Jeong Hyeong-don and Defconn's show, Hitmaker. Kane, G.NA, 4Minute's Kwon So-hyun and Kara's Heo Young-ji became a girl group called Chamsonyeo (참소녀) for the show.

On December 11, 2014, Former Hello Venus member Yoonjo was feature in TROY's Kanto new winter single "Before the Snow" featuring the sweet vocals of As One.

On December 20, 2014, Raina and Jun performed A midnight summer sweetness on SBS Awards Festival.

On December 26, 2014, Shannon along with Vasco and Giriboy released a collaboration single titled "Breath".

On December 31, 2014, Jooyeon's contract with IM Media had expired, and she announced her graduation from After School that same day. Jooyeon continued to promote as a member of After School in Japan, as her contract with AVEX TRAX had not yet expired.

On January 19, 2015, Kahi announced that she will be leaving her managing agency, IM Entertainment. Kahi posted on Twitter, "It's the sixth anniversary of After School, as well as the time for me to leave this managing agency." A representative said, "It is true that our contract with Kahi has expired. Both sides decided to part since she has a field that she wants to focus on."

On January 23, 2015, Lizzy debuted as a solo singer with the trot song "Not An Easy Girl" (쉬운 여자 아니에요). The music video used footage from the 1961 film adaptation of Chunhyangga, with Kane playing the protagonist.

On February 4, 2015, a representative of IM Entertainment stated in an interview that they have no plans for uBEAT and MAB-CDG to reform again as their main group ‘MAB’ had grown and changed their line-up to become independent ensemble.

After School released their music video for "Shine" on February 9, 2015 to promote their Japanese compilation album BEST which was released on March 18.

On March 11, 2015, Lizzy released a duet song, "Goodbye PMS", with comedian Park Myung-soo.The song was written by Duble Sidekick, who said PMS (which usually means premenstrual syndrome) refers to "a monster that creates all the worries and stress suffered by a high school girl.

On March 5, 2015,Shannon's first extended play Eighteen with its lead single Why Why was released.

Jooyeon officially graduated from After School on March 20, at a fan-club event at Negishi Tokyo Cinema in Tokyo, held to promote the album, where she received her graduation diploma.

On April 3, 2015, IM Entertainment revealed that Yoonjo had parted ways with the label.

On April 4, 2015, Raina and Jun performed A midnight summer sweetness on Ssangyong.

On April 7, 2015, IM Entertainment announced that Jung Ah and singer Han Dong Geun would be releasing a duet titled "Between the Two of Us".

In June 2, 2015, Son Dam Bi Parts Ways with IM Entertainment after Ten Years. The agency thanked the singer, "These past ten years (that includes her time as a trainee) were filled with happiness and joy. Although it is hard to say goodbye, Son Dam Bi's contract recently expired, and we have come to a mutual decision to go our separate ways. IM Entertainment exists because of Son Dam Bi. The company and her hoobaes were able to grow thanks to her. IM will always support her, no matter what."

On June 6, 2015, The label announced that NUBOYZ debut have been scrapped members Yoonho, Seungwoo and Hanse will continue to train under the label while Mingming decided to leave.

MAB released their fifth EP, Sweet Girl, on June 10, 2015, four days after they debuted a number of tracks during a Guerrilla Concert.

On July 15, 2015, Shannon made a collaboration with rapper Yuk Ji-dam released digital single "Love X Get Off".

On July 19, 2015, Orange Caramel performed at Motor Sports Festival Yeongam F1 Stadium

The MAB Adventure World Tour began in Seoul on August 12 and 13, 2015, continuing on to Dallas, Texas, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, Virginia, Berlin, Madrid, Bogota, Santiago, and Lima. In the midst of their world tour, on August 24, 2015, IM Entertainment announced that Mark decided to take a break from the industry due to being mentally and physically exhausted from the continuous malicious comments.

On September 21, 2015, Shannon was confirmed to starred in the KBS drama Moorim School.

Raina released her second digital single titled I Don't Know on November 26, 2015.

2016–2017: Third Generation Artists and development

IM Trainees Nayoung, Micah, Yuha, Eunwoo, Rena, Kyulkyung and Xiyeon competed together on Mnet's survival television show Produce 101, which aired from January 22 to April 1, 2016. While five of the members were eliminated, Nayoung and Kyulkyung became part of the final line-up for the project girl group I.O.I, which made its debut on May 4 with the single "Dream Girls".

On January 28, 2016, IM Entertainment announced that Jungah had graduated from After School after seven years of activity due to the expiration of her contract.

On March 3 2016, Shannon released a single, "Lachrymal Gland", featuring Soheechan as part of the 2gether project.

On May 1,2016, Orange Caramel performed at SBS Cultwo Show Legend Concert.

On May 26, 2016, IM Entertainment launched a survival show Me & 7 Men (노머시) that was aired on Mnet. The show pitted 13 trainees against each other to debut as a IM's new boy group. After the competition, the final group of trainees formed Victon with the final 7-members Han Seung-woo, Kang Seung-sik, Heo Chan, Lim Se-jun, Do Han-se ,Choi Byung-chan and Jung Su-bin. a teaser was aired after the finale of Me & 7 Men revealing the group's official debut date as November 9.

IM Girlz held concerts from May 14 to September 10, 2016, in which the members performed weekly, with the exception of Nayoung and Kyulkyung, who were promoting with I.O.I at the time.

On June 16, 2016, Raina and rapper San E released their duet song, called Sugar and Me.

On June 27, IM Girlz released the promotional single "We", which was written by Micah, Eunwoo, Sungyeon and Xiyeon. The music video for the song was used to introduce the members' profiles. Members Nayoung and Kyulkyung was absent on the single because of their promotions with I.O.I.

On July 4, 2016, MAB member Sandeul made his solo debut with single "Stay as you are"

On September 1, 2016, Victon's Seung-sik, Se-jun and Han-se released a digital single in collaboration with singer Huh Gak titled "#Begin Again", accompanied by a music video starring Huh Gak and all seven members of the group.

On November 1, 2016, IM Entertainment released individual video and photo teasers for Se-jun and Byung-chan, with Su-bin and Han-se's teasers being released the next day. On November 4, teasers for Seung-woo, Chan, and Seung-sik were released along with a performance trailer for "What Time Is It Now?", a track from their first EP.

On November 9, 2016, Victon made their official debut with the release of their first EP Voice to New World along with the title track "I'm Fine." The group performed both "I'm Fine" and "What Time Is It Now?" on music shows for their promotions.

From 20 November 2016 to 9 April 2017 Shannon took part in the TV reality show K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance. She competed against other trainees and talented individuals in hopes of scoring a contract that would grant the winner promotions from YG, JYP and Antenna Music. Shannon received high praise for her technical singing ability but was critiqued for her lack of emotion. She was selected into YG's group and sang songs such as "Man in the Mirror", "Who's Your Mama", "Happy", and "Ain't No Other Man". She advanced to the Top 4 (semi-finals) before she was eliminated.

On November 29, The label announced that MAB is preparing for their comeback with a full album and will be joined by Mark,the group would again be active as five members.

On December 28, 2016, After 1 year and 6 months, MAB released their third Korean studio album, Good Timing, and the music video for its lead single "A Lie". They also held their first showcase since debut, performing songs from their new album as well as previous hits. Their first comeback stage was on Show Champion on December 30. After their comeback, MAB competed as a group on Immortal Songs 2.

IM Girlz held their last concert as a pre-debut team, titled Bye & Hi, on January 6, 2017, and then renamed to Pristin, a portmanteau of the words "prismatic" (bright and clear) and "elastin" (flawless strength).

On February 2, 2017, Victon released their second mini album, Ready. The EP contains five tracks, with the lead single titled Eyez Eyez.

MAB performed in Seoul for their concert "MAB Live Space 2017" on February 4, 5, 11 and 12. Shortly after, they held their second US tour titled "MAB Four Nights in The U.S. 2017", with concerts in New York on February 15; Chicago on February 17; San Francisco on February 19; and Los Angeles on February 20.

On March 8, 2017, IM Entertainment announced the group's debut through a teaser image. On March 21, Pristin debuted and released their first mini album Hi! Pristin, accompanied by the title track "Wee Woo". They became the first rookie girl group to perform their debut song on a live broadcast during Mnet Present. Pristin was also part of the line-up for the KCON festival held in Japan May 9. On the same day, a remixed version of "Black Widow" was released as the album's second and final single, which was performed on a few music shows in order to conclude Hi Pristin's promotions.

On May 22, 2017, it was revealed that After School's Kaeun, alongside with 9MUSES Sojin, Tahiti's Ari and I.B.I's Han Hyeri would be joining the cast of IDOL MASTER KR as members of 'Red Queen', a popular girl group at the time of Real Girl Project's debut, in the live-action series.

On May 31, 2017,IM Entertainment announced that Uee had graduated from After School after seven years of activity due to the expiration of her contract.

On June 5, 2017, Raina released her first OST titled When Rain Falls for MBC's drama "Lookout"; fellow Playgirlz member Eyoung participated in lyric-writing, composition and arrangement for the track. Raina released her first single album, Loop on June 30. The single album contains three tracks, with title track Loop featuring Jun.

Shannon released her second digital single "Love Don't Hurt" on June 26, 2017. The single contains two version, Korean version featuring Lil' Boi and English version featuring f(x)'s Amber. Her second mini album, Hello, was released on July 8. The EP contains five tracks, including the title track of the same name and previous released single "Love Don't Hurt". Shannon held comeback showcase at the Yes24 Muv Hall on July 10, one day before the album's release. She later made comeback stage on Music Bank on the same day as the album's release. The music video of "Hello" was released on July 16.

On July 17, 2017, IM Entertainment announced the "2017 IM GLOBAL AUDITION", as the search for new male and female trainees, The auditions held in America, Korea and China.

On August 11, 2017, Pristin performed at the 2017 Dream Concert at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Their second mini album Schxxl Out was released on August 23, along with the single "We Like".

On August 25, 2017, Nana was cast in her first leading role for upcoming romantic thriller Four Men, but has decided to leave the cast.

On September 9, 2017, Raina, MAB (execpt for Jinyoung) and Pristin appeared on Weekly Idol

On September 23, 2017 Victon releases their third mini album "Identity". The EP contains five tracks including the title track Unbelievable

On October 11, 2017, Lee Jun-young made a successful debut as an actor in the television series Avengers Social Club.

On October 12, it was announced that Kyla would take a break from the Pristin's activities due to health issues. She returned temporarily to the United States to focus on her recovery.

On October 22, 2017, IM Kingdom held their second concert IM X TWO 2017. On October 25, 2017, MAB released their sixth EP Rollin.

On October 28, 2017, Jun auditioned for the survival program The Unit, and he passed with a "Super Boot". He finished in 1st place and temporarily promoted with The Unit's project boy band UNB.

On December 9th, 2017 Victon released their fourth mini album "From.VICTON". The EP contains six tracks which member Do Hanse helped take part in writing lyrics for. The lead single and title track of the album is Remember Me.

On December 17,2017, On an interview, the label announced that MAB will probably make their comeback on April 2018, with Jinyoung, Sandeul and Mark participating in composing and writing the title track.

2018–2019 : Artist Changes, Overseas Promotions

On January 11, 2018, Raina and Victon's Seungsik performed "I see the light" on KBS Music Awards.

On January 23, 2018, Pristin won Global Rookie Top 5 on the V Live Awards 2018.

On January 25, 2018, PRISTIN won Rookie Award on the 27th Seoul Music Awards 2018

On February 18, 2018, IM Entertainment announced that Victon is having a 4-day Busking Project on these dates: February 25, March 4, 10 and 11. They performed different songs from their previous albums. Some of the songs that they performed as well are 'Shadow' by Highlight (BEAST), 'Lonely' 2NE1, '고 민보다 GO' by BTS. They also made a remix of Bad Boy by Red Velvet. The sites where they did the project were at Sinchon (Day 1), Starfield (Day 2), Gangnam (Day 3) and Dongdaemun (Day 4).

On March 8, 2018, Victon made their comeback with their first single album Time of Sorrow.

On March 21, PRISTIN held a PRISTIN 1st Party for their 1st anniversary. the girls met up with their fans to celebrate their 1 year since debut. They opened with "Be the Star", a song on their debut album, and performed other songs including fansong "Another Promise". They also had games and video messages for their fans. Sadly, Kyla wasn't there as she's still taking a break for her health.

On May 26, 2018, Lee Jun-young made his second acting appearance as Han Min-soo in the MBC television series Goodbye to Goodbye (2018).

On April 7, 2018, Jun officially debuted with UNB, The group made their debut with their extended play titled Boyhood. The EP featured double title tracks, "Feeling" and "Only One". They held their debut stage on You Hee-yeol's Sketchbook.

MAB toured Japan in the spring of 2018 for for their Paradise tour. From April 7 to May 6, 2018, the group showed their versatile talents and musicality in nine concerts. This live release features the moving final performance of the tour at the Orix Theater in Osaka.

In April–May, 2018, Jun appeared as "Compass" on MBC's TV program King of Mask Singer. He performed a duet with Lee Sang-hoon of "It Was Like That Then" (winning the 1st round) and a solo cover version of "Eraser".

On May 1, 2018, IM Entertainment announced that Lizzy had graduated from the After School after seven years of activity due to the expiration of her contract. However, IM Entertainment later stated that despite this, Lizzy would still continue to be a member of After School's subgroup, Orange Caramel. Days Later, it was announced that Kaeun alongside with IM trainees Bae Su Min and Huh Yunjin will be participating on Produce 48, Bae Su Min decided not to audition soon afterwards. Days later, it was reported that Kaeun will be the centre for the Korean group in "Nekkoya", Mnet's Produce 48 official song. Yunjin was eliminated on episode 9 placing 26th, while Kaeun become one of the finalists, but failed to make it to the debut line-up after placing 14th.

On May 8, 2018, VICTON's Heochan has released a self-composed solo track titled "Lonely". Heochan wrote the lyrics, composed, and arranged the song himself, and it was mastered by Beom x Nang. Starting out with raindrops in the background, "Lonely" is feeling especially alone after an unwanted breakup.

On May 8, 2018, it was announced that Pristin would be debuting a sub-unit called Pristin V, consisting of members Nayoung, Roa, Eunwoo, Rena and Kyulkyung. Pristin V made their debut on May 28, 2018 with single album Like A V.

On June 9, 2018 IM Entertainment announced that the members of MAB were discussing regarding contract renewals with the label. IM Entertainment said in a statement to Newsen, "We are still discussing various possibilities regarding MAB's contracts, and we will inform you when we are ready."

On June 15, 2018, The label announced that Jun has renewed his contract for a further three years.

On June 24, 2018, Shannon released her third digital single "Hatred Farewell".

On June 27, 2018, MAB released their first full Japanese Album "Paradise".

On June 28, 2018, UNB's EP Black Heart was released, along with the music video of the lead track with the same name.

On June 30, 2018 it was announced Jinyoung's official departure from the label after deciding not to renew his contract. While Mark is still in talks about his contract renewal, all three members renewed their contracts with the label.

In August 2, 2018, Raina released the single It's Okay as part of a project single with producer Bumzu. Subsequently, on September 5 2018, Raina's soundtrack single titled Home was released as the second OST for SBS' drama "Your Honor".

On August 3, 2018, IM Entertainment revealed that VICTON would be holding VICTON: First Europe Tour 2018. The group will be traveling to seven countries in Europe: Moscow, London, Madrid, Milan, Vienna, Essen and Istanbul.

On August 31, IM Entertainment confirmed that Zhou would be making her solo debut in China with digital single, "Why", on September 6. She then had her solo debut stage the day after the song's release on iQiyi's Idol Hits.

On September 10, 2018, Female IM Rookies uploaded a dance cover of '16 Shots', the team composed of 8 members- Huh Yunjin, Bae Sumin, Jeong Chaeyeon, Kim Daon, Yoon Seeun, Park Yewon, Im Jiyoon and Park Nawon.

On September 14, 2018, The label announced that Jun and trainee Seokwon will debut in a duo unit Project SJ, the unit released their first single "We Young".

In October, it was confirmed that Zhou would make her acting debut in the historical mystery drama Miss Truth.

On October 18, 2018, The label announced that MAB is preparing for a comeback. In response to the reports, the agency revealed to Newsen, “It is true that MAB is preparing for a comeback. We’ll let you know the detailed schedule.”

On October 26, 2018, IM Entertainment announced the addition of Japan on their "IM GLOBAL AUDITION".

On November 18,2018, Mark officially signed a contract with YGK+ officially announcing his departure with the label but will continue promoting as a member of MAB. The label stated "Although Mark unfortunately will not continue with the agency, all four members have equal love for the team, so we are planning to continue a positive and cooperative relationship regarding this."

On January 5, 2019, MAB held BANA 3 in Taiwan. The group only promoted as trio.

On January 21, 2019, XCSS Entertainment introduced trainee Chen Bokai who will participate on the season 2 of survival show Idol Producer

In an Instagram story on January 24, Shannon answered fan questions, revealing she intends to leave Korea to focus on composing new songs. She also confirmed she won't be having a comeback, and she plans to leave her agency very soon. Shannon further detailed her issues with IM Entertainment and listed problems, such as using her voice as a guide without permission, not crediting her English lyrics for songs, passing songs meant for her to other artists, and using her to promote other label artists. She later revealed that Pristin V’s 'Spotlight' was supposed to be her 2018 comeback single.

On January 27, IM Entertainment revealed, "MAB will be releasing their track The Day I Fall In Love It was first revealed during their fan meeting, as a special digital single.

UNB ended their activities on January 27, 2019. Following the group's disbandment it was revealed that Jun will continue to promote as solo in Japan under a contract with Avex Trax.

On January 31, 2019, rumors began to circulate that IM Entertainment would be teaming up with Stone Music to debut a new joint girl group that would include IM Entertainment trainees and ex-Produce 48 contestants Lee Kaeun and Heo Yunjin.

On February 8, 2019, Rumors speculate that Victon and Pristin has disbanded due to the group's lack of activities. The rumors began to spark after Pristin member Kyla opens an instagram account which is prohibited as an idol. Victon is inactive for almost 1 year while Pristin is inactive for almost 2 years. However, the label denied all the rumors by stating "We do not have an official statement to release regarding the disbandment of PRISTIN and Victon at the moment."

On February 10, 2019, IM Entertainment announced through news outlets, “We would like to inform you that former MAB member Lee Jun-young will be returning as a member, and [MAB] will be reconfigured as a six-person group.” The label stated that with Jun's return an additional two new members will be added to the group. “Lee Jun-young, as a member, is currently preparing with two newly recruited members in MAB.” We ask that you show much love and support henceforth to the new MAB.” After the statements, numerous rumors spread that the two new members will be Choi Seokwon who participated in survival show Me&7Men and trainee Na Du bin.

On February 12, 2019, Jun is claiming he had no knowledge that IM Entertainment was re-creating MAB. Just days after the breaking news that announced MAB was being re-made into a 6-member group, Jun is denying he has any involvement.

On March 10, 2019, Jun officially debuted as solo in Japan with his first single Phenomenal World. He had already successfully completed his first solo showcase in front of a crowd of over 700 fans in Tokyo on February 4. Prior to the release, he also held a series of concerts, "JUN 1st Event 2019 ~Phenomenal World~", on April 6 in Osaka and April 8 in Tokyo. Tower Records Japan ranked "Phenomenal World" as the #7 best-selling Japanese single by a Korean artist for the first half of 2019.

On March 15, 2019 IM Entertainment confirmed through VICTON's official social media accounts that Choi Byung Chan and Han Seung Woo will be participating in Mnet's upcoming survival program "Produce X 101".

On March 23, 2019, Nana starred in OCN's crime drama Kill It, playing a detective. The same year, she starred in KBS's melodrama Justice as a prosecutor.

On April 8, 2019, IM Entertainment confirmed, "Sandeul is preparing a solo comeback for June. Please look forward to it." Sandeul debuted as a solo artist in September 2016, so it's been almost 3 years since then. He had ranked #1 on music charts with the song.

On May 7, 2019, IM Entertainment announced the "2019 IM WONDER TEENS GLOBAL AUDITION", the auditions are applicable only for male trainees, The Auditions held in four Countries: China, Thailand, USA and Canada.

On May 15, 2019, Lizzy mentioned that After School unofficially disbanded after members gradually went their separate ways.

On May 24, 2019, Pristin was officially disbanded. IM Entertainment announced that while Kyulkyung, Yehana, and Sungyeon would stay with the company, the remaining seven (Xiyeon, Rena, Micah, Kyla, Nayoung, Yuha, and Eunwoo) would be departing.

On June 3, 2019, Sandeul made his first solo comeback after 3–years with his 2nd mini album One Fine Day. In addition, IM informed that he would hold his first Japanese and Korean solo concerts in June.

On July 4, 2019, IM Entertainment released an official statement to the press, confirming former After School member and former 'Produce 48' contestant Kaeun's departure from the label. Kaeun has released the official version MV teaser for her upcoming special digital single, "I'll Remember".

Shannon confirmed to have parted ways with IM Entertainment after 8 years, The news was confirmed by the label on July 9, who stated that the idol's contract ended in February, and there was no renewal.

On July 11, it was announced by IM Entertainment that Byung-chan will be leaving the show permanently to recover from the increasing pain of his chronic Achilles tendinitis.

On July 17, 2019, Lee Jun-young made his third acting appearance as Yoo Beom-jin in the OCN television series Class of Lies as a top student who is a genius and perfectionist.

On the finale episode on July 19, Seung-woo became a member of the new boy group, X1. He received 1,079,200 votes, which put him at a final ranking of 3rd. The contract of this group will last for 5 years. For the first 2.5 years, he will be promoting exclusively with X1, but for the remaining 2.5 years, he will be free to promote with Victon again.

On August 6th, 2019, it was reported that Mark officially ended activities with MAB IM Entertainment stated on the 6th, “After much discussion with Mark, we have decided it best for both party’s future developments to go each other’s way. Please cheer for Mark who is going to star on a new path.”

On August 22, 2019, IM Entertainment announced that VICTON will be officially returning to promotions, with their 2019 fan meeting Voice To Alice, and their upcoming fan meeting will mark VICTON's official return to promotions as 6-members with Seungwoo's absence. VICTON's 2019 fan meeting 'Voice To Alice' will be held this September 22 at 5 PM KST at The K Art Hall in Seoul's Seocho-gu.

On August 27, 2019, VICTON member and former 'Produce X 101' contestant Byungchan has announced his 1st solo fan meeting in Thailand, Be Shining: 燦!, According to IM Entertainment, the fan meeting was decided due to popular demand from Thai fans in light of the end of 'Produce X 101'. Byungchan's 'Be Shining: 燦' will take place on September 28, shortly after VICTON's domestic fan meeting 'Voice To Alice' in Seoul on September 22.

On September 13, 2019, During a recent interview with media outlet 'Star News', MAB member and current radio DJ Sandeul shared an update regarding his group's potential promotions. When asked about his next promotion plans, Aron relayed, "In the near future, I'll be appearing on variety shows. After that, I've been thinking in my head that I want to promote as a duo with Gongchan. I'm currently preparing so that we can make these duet promotion plans come to reality. I participated in a 'song camp' in Berlin and wrote 2 songs, and one of them made it into my solo album, and the other I left for the duet." Next, Sandeul gave away some details regarding MAB's potential promotions as a full group. "Once the three of us come together, definitely! We'll make a comeback. We were preparing for a full album, but CNU hyung went to the army so we were not able to release it. Hyung wrote about 8–9 songs already. If we add a few more songs, we'll have a full album in no time."

On October 2, 2019, MAB's Gongchan & rookie actress Song Yoo Jung cast as leads of new 'Playlist' fantasy web drama.

On October 30, 2019, Jun released his second Japanese single My Way featuring rapper Reddy, the single was produced by Sway D.

On October 31, 2019, The label confirmed that Zhou is set to star in the Chinese wuxia television series Legend of Fei in 2020.

On November 4, 2019, After 1 year and 8 months of hiatus, Victon finally made their comeback as a six-member group with their fifth mini album "Nostalgia", with the title track "nostalgic night". They had their first win in this comeback.

On November 11, 2019, It was announced that Nana is set to star in a mystery thriller film Confession alongside So Ji-sub and Yunjin Kim to be released in 2020.

On November 19, 2019, IM Entertainment announced that Nana renewed her contract with the label.

On December 5, 2019, Jun made his Korean solo debut with his first single album Gallery, with the title track "Curious about you".

On December 23, 2019, IM ROOKIE GIRLS consists of Huh Yunjin, Jeong Chaeyeon, Kim Daon, Park Yewon, Im Jiyoon and Park Nawon - performed TWICE's Feel Special in a busking, marking the posibility of the label's new girl group to debut in 2020.

On December 27, 2019 IM Entertainment released an official announcement informing fans of After School member/solo artist Raina's decision to part ways with the label.

On December 29, 2019, Jun released his third Japanese single "Come Alive"

On December 31, 2019, a representative from IM Entertainment stepped up shortly after earlier reports, which claimed that the label would be signing on girl group fromis_9 as the team's newest management. The IM rep told media outlets, "The rumors that Off The Record will be transferring over fromis_9's exclusive contract over to us are completely false. Such a discussion has never been exchanged bbetween IM and Off The Record, and the reports are entirely untrue."

2020–2021: Acquisition, Artist Changes and Development

On January 6, 2020, CJ ENM, Swing Entertainment, together with X1 members' agencies including IM Entertainment held a meeting to discuss the future of the group. Later that day they announced that they couldn't come with an agreement so the agencies decided to disband them.On the 8th, IM Entertainment informed fans, "We'll make sure that Han Seung Woo, who has worked without resting for almost a year since 'Produce x 101' and his promotions with X1, gets enough rest. We plan to gradually make decisions regarding the specific direction and plans for his future activities through thorough discussion with our artist."

On January 10, 2020, the agency surprised by posting photos for some familiar faces under the title "IM Boys" on Twitter and Instagram. They include Choi Seokwon (Me&7Men contestant), Chen Bokai (Idol Producer Season 2 contestant), Lim Jimin, Jeon Doyum, Hyungbin, Jeon Leejeong and Jung Jinsung.

On January 16, 2020, After School's E-Young announced that she has left IM Entertainment.

On January 20, 2020, VICTON members admit during a "trust game" for Dingo Music that they almost disbanded due to a poor response from the public.

On January 22, 2020, Lee Jun-young released his first japanese album 22 with the title track "Come Alive".

On February 2020, Lee Jun-young wrapped up filming as Kang Woo-won in the SBS television series Good Casting (2020) which was set to be aired on April 27.

On March 9 at midnight KST, ahead of the release of their upcoming mini album "Continuous", VICTON dropped the music video for their new title track "Howling". As with all of the other tracks on the mini album, VICTON member Hanse co-wrote the lyrics for the song. The same day,IM Entertainment CEO announced on Instagram that he was stepping down from his position as IZ*ONE's producer.

On the 18th, SBS MTV's weekly music program 'The Show' returned with its live performances, the winning place trophy went to VICTON, marking the group's first win since their comeback just last week!

On March 19, IM announced, "Recently, we signed contracts with Lee Chan Sol, Kang Kyung Yoon, and Shin Hyun Bin, and along with IM Boys trainee Lim Hyung Bin, we'll be launching the band Bandage." According to the label, Bandage is a combination of the words "band" and "windage."

On March 25, 2020, IM Entertainment's law representatives at Yuhan Law Firm revealed Kyulkyung had sent a unilateral notice of her contract termination in September 2019, stating that she would be continuing her activities in China on her own. Yuhan Law Firm stated, "IM has no choice but to take legal action by seeking confirmation that the exclusive contract with Kyulkyung will remain effective. We've been supporting Kyulkyung in Korea and China for the duration of the contract, but we cannot avoid delivering this news to the fans and the public." IM Entertainment further stated Kyulkyung is also avoiding communication with her Chinese label XCSS Entertainment, and she's been independently appearing on dramas, variety shows, and advertisements in China.

On July 17, 2020, IM Entertainment officially confirmed VICTON member Seungwoo's solo debut date. According to the agency, "Han Seungwoo will release his debut solo album on August 10." Seungwoo marks the first member of VICTON to make his solo debut, 4 years after the team first debuted in 2016. The idol is expected to participate in his upcoming solo album both a composer and lyricist.

In August 2020, Big Hit Entertainment held a live conference announcing Big Hit Labels' future plans. During this conference, all IM artists were shown on the screen, and After School was not listed among them, indicating that the group silently disbanded.

On September 3, 2020, It was announced that in 2021, Big Hit subsidiaries, Source Music and IM Entertainment will each launch a new idol group. Source Music, which is the agency behind GFriend, will be releasing a girl group while IM Entertainment will be launching another boy group.

On September 10, 2020, reports revealed Lee Jun Young has been confirmed for the series based on the webtoon by Kim Bo Tong. 'D.P.' depicts the abuse and human rights issues in the military and the Desert Pursuit team that arrests soldiers who have deserted the military.

On September 17, IM Entertainment confirmed to various media outlets, "MAB are preparing for a comeback some time in late-October." This will mark MAB's first official comeback in approximately 3 years, since the release of their 7th mini album Rollin. The comeback also signifies MAB's new start as 3-members, as well as the team's first music release since CNU's return from mandatory military service just last month.

On October 1, 2020, IM Entertainment announced the departure of Choi Seokwon, Jeon Leejeong and Jung jinsung, from the label via SNS. The label announced that the new boy group is currently under reformation.

On October 18, 2020, Fair Trade Commission officially approves Big Hit Entertainment's acquisition of IM Entertainment.

On October 19, 2020, MAB made their comeback comeback with their fourth Korean studio album Origine and its lead single "Like a Movie (영화처럼)". On November 4, 2020, MAB released a special mv clip for "what is lovE?"

On November 3, 2020 IM Entertainment announced, "VICTON will release a new album on December 1, kicking off their comeback promotions." This will mark VICTON's first new music release in approximately 6 months, also signaling the group's third comeback of the year. The comeback is also expected to serve as a special gift for VICTON's fans in light of the group's 4th anniversary. On November 8, VICTON plan on greeting fans with a 4th anniversary fan meeting titled Back To The Wonderland. The event is set to take place simultaneously on/offline.

On November 4, 2020, Lee Jun Young was casted along side with Song Ha Yoon, Apink's Yoon Bomi, and Gong Min Jung, for MBC's "Please Don't Date Him".

On November 14, 2020, MAB's Sandeul sings Grown-Up Diary for 'Start-Up' OST.

IM Boys SNS accounts were deleted after Lim Jimin and Jeon Doyeom's departure from the agency on November 16, 2020. It was revealed that Chen Bokai and Kim Hyeonbin will continue to train under the label and will debut in a new boygroup.

On November 24, 2020, The label decided to postpone Victon's December 1st comeback as a precautionary measure. All of VICTON+staff will now be self quarantining. Here is IM's statement: "The investigation surrounding the COVID19 carrier and their potential routes is still ongoing, and so as a precautionary measure to ensure to safety of all people involved, the VICTON members and the IM staff members have decided to self-quarantine for 14-days voluntarily."

On December 12, 2020, The label revealed that IM Rookie Yewon will transfer to Collabodadi Label to debut in a new girl group.

On April 23, 2021, B1A4 released the digital single "10 Times" to commemorate the group's 10th anniversary.

On May 4, 2021 IM Entertainment announced, "The release of VICTON member Seungwoo's 2nd solo album has been confirmed for this June. Seungwoo is currently focussed on greeting fans with a completed album, so please look forward to it."

On June 3, 2021, Afterschool graduated members Jungah, Jooyeon, Bekah, Raina and Kahi made a guest appearance on Jaejae's MMTG program, introducing themselves as After School. On June 12, 2021, the same members reunited to perform songs "Bang" and "Diva" on MMTG's revival concert.

Seungwoo returned with his second EP Fade on June 28, with "See You Again" serving as the lead single.

VICTON‘s Han Seungwoo has officially announced his military enlistment, which will be on July 26.

On August 4th, a drama official revealed that Lee Jun Young entered the FA market after his exclusive contract with his agency IM Entertainment came to an end in June. IM Entertainment stated, "It is true that our contract [with Lee Jun Young] has come to an end, and we are discussing possibilities of a contract renewal. We give our support towards his current drama filmings."

On August 16, 2021, IM Entertainment announced that girl group Fromis 9 will now be managed by the agency and would be leaving Off The Record following the release of their single album 9 Way Ticket.

On August 21, Star News reported that trainee Heo Yun Jin transferred from IM Entertainment to Source Music, both part of HYBE Labels, and that she will be debuting in Source Music's new girl group.

On August 24, 2021, VICTON's Seungsik released the single "Look for the Silver Lining" in collaboration with the music company Clef, as part of a donation project for the charity Good Neighbors.

On September 1, 2021, Fromis 9 released their new special single album Talk & Talk, featuring the title track of the same name. On September 7, the group achieved their first ever music show win on SBS MTV's The Show with "Talk & Talk".

Hanse made his solo debut on September 25 with the digital album Blaze with the double title tracks "Take Over" and "Public Enemy".

On October 7, 2021, Bandage made their comeback with the single Youth21.

On November 9, Victon released a new single, titled "Sweet Travel" to commemorate their fifth anniversary. All members of VICTON (with the exception of Seungwoo, who is currently carrying out his mandatory military service) participated in writing the lyrics.

On November 11, 2021, Sandeul enlisted in the military as a social worker. Before his enlistment, B1A4 released a new digital single titled "Adore You" on November 10.

In December 8 2021, Nana has re-signed her contract with IM Entertainment. This is her third contract renewal with the agency within 12 years since her debut in 2009.

2022–Present:

On January 17, 2022, Fromis 9 released their fourth EP, Midnight Guest, featuring the title track "DM".

On February 24, 2022, it was confirmed that one member of Baek Ji-heon will be taking a break from Fromis 9's activities due to health concerns.

On February 28, Victon returned with their third single album Chronograph including the lead single of the same name and its English version, which is their first song in English.

On March 2,2022, Victon released an original soundtrack for the drama Business Proposal titled "You are Mine", with Seungsik, Sejun, and Byungchan participating.

On April 4, 2022, It was announced that Bandage will move to Collabodadi Label after a two-year run under its parent home IM Entertainment. Also member Lim Hyeong-bin has officially the label and Bandage due to musical differences.

On May 31, Victon release their seventh mini album Chaos and its lead single "Stupid O'clock".

On June 27, 2022, Fromis 9 released their fifth EP From Our Memento Box, featuring the title track "Stay This Way".

On July 2 KST, IM ROOKIES unveiled three male trainees — Eunseok, Shohei, and Seunghan.

On July 2,2022, Former MAB member Doyoon tells fans he was 'fired' from group.

On July 28, 2022, IM Entertainment announced that member Jang Gyu-ri would be leaving the group on July 31. The company explained in their statement that when fromis_9's contracts were transferred to IM, every member with the exception of Gyu-ri had signed a new artist contract, while Gyu-ri chose to maintain her original contract and fulfill it to the end.

On September 5,2022, The label announced that they will debut the new boy group next year. They also announce the plans of debuting a japanese girl group under their subsduary label IM Japan.

On September 22, VICTON's label IM Entertainment confirmed Heochan was caught driving drunk by police on the morning of the 20th. The label said, "After the investigation, he is expected to be subject to the cancellation of his license. Currently, Heochan is deeply regretful and deeply remorseful for making a mistake he should never have made. He also cannot help but feel sorry to fans and many officials for causing this issue. Heochan plans to suspend his team and individual activities after today."

On October 10,2022, On an online community forum, netizens discussed the unclear direction of IM's male group of trainees, collectively known as IM Boys. As reported earlier this year, netizens expressed doubts toward the group regarding their national identity and a member leaving the project.

On October 11,2022, IM Entertainment announced that Heo Chan would be leaving the group, and the group will continue promoting as 5.

On October 16 , 2022, VICTON announced at the end of their second “CHRONICLE” concert that they would be making a return next month. The group will be releasing their eighth mini album “Choice” on November 15 at 6 p.m. KST.

On October 28, 2022, it was announced that members Lee Sae-rom and Lee Seo-yeon would be taking a break from activities due to health concerns.

On January 27, 2023, VICTON Seungwoo became the first member to be discharged from the military.

On February 1, 2023, the agency confirmed that VICTOn Seungsik will enlist in the military on March 20, 2023, After basic training, he will be sent to the Army Personnel Command's Army Military Music Equipment Battalion.

On March 14, 2023, CNU was announced to have renewed his contract with IM Entertainment, while Gongchan was confirmed by IM to be exempted from serving in the military due to health reasons.

On March 31, 2023, IM Entertainment officially announced that Lim Se-jun would enter the training center on June 13 and undergo basic military training before serving as an active duty soldier.

IM Entertainment has just released a new statement as of April 20 KST, confirming that Hanse, Byungchan and Subin of VICTON have decided to not renew their exclusive contracts. "The agency will conclude its management duties of VICTON members Hanse, Byungchan, and Subin as of April 20 KST with the expiration of these individual members' exclusive contracts. This decision was reached based on mutual respect after a lengthy and serious debate between the members and the agency ahead of their contract expirations. The other members - including Seungwoo who was recently discharged from his mandatory service, Seungsik who is currently carrying out his mandatory duties, and Sejun who is due to enlist in June of this year - will continue to be housed under our management for the time being, based on the fact that their exclusive contract periods were moved with military enlistment matters involved."

On May 15, 2023, IM Entertainment announced Fromis 9 would be releasing their first studio album titled Unlock My World on June 5.

On October 11, 2023, Fromis 9 released the single "Love Me Back" as part of the soundtrack for the Naver webtoon Operation: True Love.

On November 7, 2023, IM Entertainment announced their plan to launch a new boy band in the first quarter of 2024. The members of the then-unnamed boy band, with their faces covered, were first introduced by , during the Caratland event in 2023.

On December 21, 2023, the group's nameTWSwas revealed. The agency explained that the name is derived from the group's tagline "twenty-four-seven with us", which reflects the group's commitment to maintaining an enduring connection with their fans

Producer and IM Entertainment CEO Han Sung-soo spearheaded the production for TWS's debut EP Sparkling Blue, which was released on January 22, 2024, following the release of the single "Oh MyMy:7s" from the album. Aiming to establish "boyhood pop" with Sparkling Blue, the album was led by the single "Plot Twist", which discussed the "thrill of a first encounter". Just twenty-three days after debut, they took their first music show win on Show Champion.

Collabodadi Label

Collabodadi Label is a record label founded by IM Entertainment in 2013, the label is home to artists KNK, MCND, and Bandage. Formerly home of artists Bestie, P.O.P, and Hot Issue.

2013-2014: First generation artists, development

The label debuted their first girl group Bestie consists of former EXID members Uji, Hyeyeon, Haeryung and IM trainee Dahye on July 11, 2013, with the release of their first single "Pitapat" and its music video, starring Jo Kwon and Yoo Se-yoon. The group held their debut live performance on KBS Music Bank on July 12.

On October 16, 2013, Bestie released their second single album with the title track "Love Options". Their first performance was on M! Countdown. In December, Hyeyeon featured on Quattro Code's single "Stick With You" and Bestie released the digital single "Zzang Christmas".

On February 28, 2014, Bestie released "Thank U Very Much" as a digital released with an accompanying music video.

On July 11, 2014, Bestie released their fifth digital single "Like A Star" in celebration of their one-year anniversary. "Like A Star", as well as their previous singles "Pitapat" and "Thank U Very Much", were featured on their first EP Hot Baby, released on July 28. The music video for the EP's title track "Hot Baby" was released three days later. The EP charted at #7, and on August 29, Bestie released a repackaged version titled I Need You. The repackage featured the new single "I Need You", produced by Duble Sidekick and HomeBoy.

2015–2016: Second generation artists, international expansion

Bestie's second EP Love Emotion was released on May 8, 2015, and charted at #8. The music video for its lead single "Excuse Me" was ranked fourth on Billboard's list of "Most Viewed K-Pop Videos in America" and sixth on its list of "Most Viewed K-Pop Videos around the World" for the month of May.

On August 29, 2015, Bestie performed at New Delhi's Sirifort Auditorium as part of the 2015 Feel Korea in New Delhi tour. That year, the group won the Next Generation Award at the Golden Disk Awards.

On December 15, 2015, Collabodadi Label announced that they will debut their first boy group KNK, with members -Inseong Jihun, Youjin, Seoham, and Heejun. a teaser video of the boys was uploaded on KNK's official YouTube channel. The following day, it was revealed that the group would perform at 2015 SBS Awards Festival (SAF) alongside Noel, Bestie and Almeng. On December 26, KNK performed for the first time to the public at SAF where they performed the two songs on their debut single album. On December 30, the band's first reality show, My Keunakeun Television, premiered on Naver TV Cast.

On January 2016, it has been reported that Dahye fell from the stairs, fracturing her ankle and right arm, and needed time to recover; Collabodadi Label stated that Bestie's comeback has been pushed to give Dahye time to get better. It was announced that Bestie would be coming back in May with mini-album or first full album, which ultimately never happened.

On February 26, 2016, teaser for the music video of KNK's debut single "Knock" was released. Three days later, the band had their debut showcase at Ilchi Art Hall, Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul, where they performed their songs "Knock" and "Angel Heart", as well as TVXQ's "Love in the Ice" and Kim Kwang-seok's "On the Street".

On March 1, 2016, KNK made their debut on The Show, the band's first performance on a television music show. Their single album and music video for "Knock" was officially released on March 3.

KNK had their first schedule outside of South Korea, and performed their debut single "Knock" at the 20th China Music Awards in Macau on April 15.

KNK released their first digital single "I Remember" on May 16. The medium tempo R&B track was composed by Kim Tae-joo, who also produced Beast's "Good Luck", "12:30", and more.

On May 23, 2016, Collabodadi Label announced the comeback of KNK with their first extended play (EP), titled Awake, through KNK's official SNS channels. A group image teaser and individual photos for the EP was unveiled on May 24 and 25 respectively. Awake and the music video for title track "Back Again" was released at noon on June 2. Awake peaked at number 14 on Billboard's World Album chart and the group was recognized by Billboard as one of the most promising K-pop debuts from the first half of 2016.

On July 9, 2016, Bestie' Uji participated in JTBC reality singing competition Girl Spirit, where she finished in the third place.

On November 7, 2016, KNK's comeback with their second EP titled Remain was announced through their official SNS channels. On November 15, the music video teaser for the title track titled "U" was released, however it was announced the next day that the agency decided to dispose the music video due to quality issues. A representative stated that there were no plans to film it again. Remain was released on November 17, and KNK held their live comeback showcase the same day through Naver V Live, where they performed TVXQ's "Love in the Ice", as well as their new songs "I Know" and "U".

On December 16, 2016, Bestie performed at Military Year End Concert.

On December 21, KNK was included on Billboard's "10 Best New K-Pop Groups in 2016" list.

2017–2019: Japan Activities, Artist Changes

On March 2017, KNK announced their first solo concert and the first stop of Asian tour. The two-day sold-out concert titled The F1rst Step was held on April 8–9 at the Shinhan Card Fan Square Live Hall in Seoul. It was then followed by concerts in Osaka, Tokyo and Taipei.

On April 17, 2017, Collabodadi Label launched social media accounts for their new girl group P.O.P, the pre-debut group released song and dance cover ahead to their debut.

On May 12, 2017, KNK announced their first comeback of 2017 by releasing a promotion plan poster of the group's second single album named Gravity. It features its lead single titled "Sun, Moon, Star", "Think About You" and "Love You". All songs were composed and written by Kim Tae-joo. The music video teaser for "Sun, Moon, Star" was released on May 22. Before the official release of the single album, KNK performed the lead single on the May 23 episode of The Show, and 24th on Show Champion. The album, along with the lead single's music video was released on the 25th. It was also released as a digital download on various music sites. On July 7, KNK confirmed another round of promotion with a reissue of Gravity, titled Gravity, Completed.

On June 12–13, 2017, individual video teasers of the members of KNK were released, while the music video teaser for the title track titled "Rain" was uploaded on the 14th. The album, along with the music video for "Rain", was released on June 20. KNK also held their comeback stage on M Countdown the same day.

On July 26, 2017, Collbodadi Label annnounced the official debut of girl group P.O.P (Puzzle Of POP) officially introducing all 6 members – Ahyung, Miso, Seol, Haeri, Yeonjoo, and Yeonha. The group debuted with their first EP 'Puzzle Of POP', with the title track Catch you.

On August 1, 2017, it was revealed by the label that Yeonha would be taking a break from POP's activities due to her busy schedule and was in a poor condition. Yeonha, at the time, was being tested for myasthenia gravis (a neuromuscular disease).

In August, 2017, KNK confirmed to make their Japanese debut in October with a single titled "U / Back Again" that consists of their two previous released title tracks from their EPs Awake and Remain respectively. The CD single has three versions; Standard Edition, Limited Edition A and Limited Edition B. On October 3, the group released the performance video of "U (Japanese version)". The single album was officially released on October 11.

On September 18, 2017, Collabodadi announced that they will launch a makestar project for P.O.P's next album.

On September 25, 2017, P.O.P released a documentary titled "P.O.P Debut Story", it includes interview from the members expressing what they feel on finally debuting as a group.

On September 29, 2017, it was announced that that KNK had joined the JTBC and YG Entertainment survival show titled Mix Nine. KNK's agency posted a statement on their fan cafe to announce that they had received an offer from the producers of Mix Nine and after a long time of consideration and discussion by the agency and the group, it was decided that all the members would appear on the show. Three members—Park Seung-jun, Jeong In-seong and Oh Hee-jun passed the audition and competed with other contestants but was later eliminated and did not make it to the finale.

On October 24, 2017, it was revealed by Ministry Health officials that Yeonha had terminated her contract with Collabodadi Label due to her health. P.O.P had been preparing for their comeback after wrapping up their debut activities. The group will continue as a five membered group.

On October 28, 2017, it was confirmed that Hyeyeon would be appearing on the idol competition program The Unit. She was eliminated from the show in episode 13 with her final rank being 27.

On November 29,2017, P.O.P performed at the '25th Korean Culture and Entertainment Awards' for the K-POP Rookie of the Year Congratulatory Performance

On December 5, 2017, Collabodadi Label announced that Uji and Dahye would be leaving Bestie while Hyeyeon and Haeryung would be continuing as a group, with the possibility that new members would be added.

On January 3, 2018, Makestar announced that due to repeated failed attempts to contact the label about the project's progress and "the continued irresponsible behavior and stance taken by the P.O.P project creator, and [their] unwillingness to ignore the inconvenience this [was] causing to the project participants", the project was terminated and all money returned to the fans. The project reached only 5% of its goal.

On March 25, 2018, it was reported that Collabodadi Label would be closing, with employees and executives stepping down. However, the label CEO denied this statement, saying that the label still has many shares and they would continue to manage their artists and other trainees.

On April 19, 2018, Collabodadi Label announced that KNK member Kim Youjin had been diagnosed with a panic disorder, and as a result of this, KNK would continue to promote temporarily as a 4-member group while Youjin focused on recovery.

On April 28, 2018, Collabodadi Label announced on the official fancafe that members Kim Jihun, Jeong Inseong and Oh Heejun would release a digital single titled "한 끗 차이" at 6 p.m. KST the same day.

On August 1, 2018, Fans wrote in an online community that P.O.P has disbanded. Also, P.O.P's official social media has stopped posting any news since this May. Also, another fan said that the birthday present for a member he sent to the agency returned as there was "no one there to receive the parcel."

On September 10, 2018, It was announced that KNK's Kim Youjin, has officially terminated his contract with the label due to a panic disorder.

On October 24, 2018, Collabodadi Label announced the official disband of Bestie. It was revealed that Hyeyeon decided to terminated her contract with the label, Haeryung stayed with the label as an actress.

On December 19, 2018, Collabodadi Label cofinrmed that KNK would be coming back with a new member, Lee Dongwon, and would be promoting as a 5-member group.

On December 20, 2018, It was announced KNK would embark on a U.S. tour. The tour traveled to four cities, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, and New York, from February 24 – March 3, 2019.

On January 7, 2019, KNK released Lonely Night and made their first comeback featuring new member Lee Dongwon. "Lonely Night” is the title track to their third single album, which includes two other songs What do you think? and “Day by Day.” Heejun co-wrote the lyrics for the title track. Heejun and Jihun co-composed Day by Day.

On March 16,2019, After a long period of silence, member Haeri confirmed that P.O.P would never come back. They are presumably disbanded due to inactivity since May 2018.

On June 19, 2019, Collabodadi Label announced KNK would embark on a European tour. The tour traveled to six cities, Berlin, Warsaw, London, Lisbon, Madrid and Paris from August 14–25, 2019.

On December 15, 2019, The label announced that they will debut a new boy group MCND, the group appeared on music shows such as KSB2's 'Music Bank' and SBS's 'Inkigayo', showcasing their pre-debut single "Top Gang" for the first time. MCND consist of members Castle J, BIC, Minjae, Huijun, and Win. Members Minjae and Huijun previously appeared as contestants on SBS's 'The Fan', while Win took part in MBC's idol survival program 'Under Nineteen'. Castle J is known to have promoted as a child actor before joining MCND. KNK member Lee Dongwon was in the lineup for MCND but was chosen to debut with KNK instead.

2020–present:

MCND made their official debut on February 27, 2020, with the EP Into the Ice Age and its lead single "Ice Age". Their debut showcase was held at Seoul's Yes24 Live Hall on February 26.

On April 9, 2020, MCND returned with the digital single "Spring".

On June 28, 2020, Haeryung took to social media to write about her thoughts on leaving, Collabodadi Label.Last week, it was confirmed that Haeryung and the label would be parting ways after the expiration of their exclusive contract. Member Yewon was originally part of IM Rookies, Produce 48 and IM Rookie trainee Huh Yunjin was supposed to debut with the group but wasn't chosen on the final evaluation.
