IRS Aero (IATA: LD (later 5R), ICAO: LDF) was a Russian charter airline that was established in 1997.[1]
Closure
Its operating license was revoked in January 2003 because an investigation into an accident that occurred in 2002 revealed violations committed by the airline. These included using Il-18 aircraft for both passenger and cargo transport, even though their airworthiness certificates classified them as cargo planes,[2] and falsification of documents.[1]
