ISKCON Ujjain temple also called Radha Madhana Mohan Temple in Ujjain is located near the Nandkheda Bus Stand in Ujjain in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.[1]
Architecture[edit]
The temple was opened in 2006.[2] It was built with white marble from the city of Makrana, Rajasthan. "There are three sancta sanctorum in the temple housing the idols of Lord Krishna and Radha with Gopis, Balarama and Krishna and Nitaai Gaur (incarnations of Krishna and Balarama)."[3] It is the only fully solar-powered temple in Ujjain and in the ISKCON organization.
Festivals and Activities[edit]
Many Hindu festivals that revolve around Lord Krishna are celebrated at the temple. One of the biggest celebrations is Janmashtami. These celebrations include food offerings, prayers and hymns to celebrate the birth of Krishna.[4] Other festivals include Guru Purnima, Rathyatra, Radhastami, Gopastami and Nityanand Trayodashi.[5]
