Before The Cougars[edit]
In December 2019, IU Kokomo posted a video highlighting the history of athletics at IU Kokomo. There are records dating back to 1934 when IU Kokomo was known as Kokomo Junior College. You can even find some stats from old basketball games on some sites. The video talked about old nicknames like Little Red and the Knights. These teams were not institution sponsored sports however.[7]
