Michael Curtis Anderson (born 19 May 1996 in Jamaica, Queens), better known by his stage name I Am Trigg (formerly Baby Triggy), is an American recording artist. He gained international attention with his collaboration with Jenna Rose on her song "My Jeans", which received over 14 million views in a brief period time.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Early life and career beginnings[edit]

Anderson was chosen as one of the opening acts for Chris Lighty's Violator Management as the youngest artist on their roster in 2009.[8] At age 14, Anderson [9] wrote and produced a song for artist Jenna Rose called "My Jeans", which featured a rap by Anderson, on YouTube in October 2010.[10] The video has "spawned parodies, video responses, rap replies and more than a dozen pages of written critiques."[11] In February 2013, "My Jeans" was featured in the Babelmusic.com's Top 5 YouTube Candidates For The Billboard Hot 100, making number 2 on the list.[7][12]
