Biography

Iam Blameless was born on December 21, 1993 to Bernadette Mukase and Pierre Celestin Bucyana in a village called Ruyenzi, Runda in the Southern province of Rwanda. His parents and many of his relatives died during the 1994 genocide committed against Tutsi in Rwanda, and he was raised by his grandmother, who died in July 2014.[2][3][4]

Career

At the age of 16, he began writing songs with his co-founded high school live band, known as The Braves. A year later, the band performed in a benefit concert for Somalia during the 2011 crisis.[5] Iam Blameless moved to Montreal in 2014 to pursue his undergraduate degree in African Studies and Political Science, with a minor in sound recording, at McGill University.
