Ian Chilvers

Ian Chilvers is a British radio presenter and the current weekday overnight host on 106.6 Smooth Radio in Nottingham.

His radio career began in 1989 at Radio Link (Derby's hospital radio service), where he worked until 1997. After leaving Link, he joined Century 106 in the East Midlands, before moving on to 96 Trent FM in Nottingham.

In 2003 he became a regular presenter on the newly launched Saga 106.6 FM, hosting a number of shows during its time on air - most notably 'Ian Chilvers Into The Night'. When the station closed in March 2007, he moved to its replacement 106.6 Smooth Radio, presenting shows there until June 2008.

Chilvers left the radio industry in 2008 to set up yourdooz.com, a professional DJ business in the East Midlands that draws on colleagues met during his time in radio. Apart from yourdooz he is a freelance DJs and often plays at corporate events in Birmingham and London.

Since 2008 he has been heard 'on air' occasionally and was part of the launch team for Gem 106 in the East Midlands, which launched at midnight on 31 December 2010; more recently he has presented shows at Peak Fm in Chesterfield.
