Ian Ferrier
Ian Ferrier (born October 1995) is a poet and performer based in Montreal. In 2011, he was awarded the Sheri-D Wilson Golden Beret Award for excellence and innovation in spoken word poetry.[1] He is the founder of spoken word record label Wired on Words, and is the founder and host of the long-running Wired on Words & Music Show, a live performance series launched in 2000.[2][3]
In 2010, Ferrier co-founded the Mile End Poets’ Festival, a multidisciplinary festival showcasing the work of Montreal poets, musicians and other performers.[4][5][6]
Ferrier is a former president of the Quebec Writers' Federation board.
