Ibrahim Abdullah Ghuloom Hussain Al-Ahmadi (Arabic: إبراهيم عبد الله غلوم حسين الأحمدي‎, born in 1952) is a Bahraini writer, literary critic, and university professor. He began writing in the early 1970s and has published many studies and works of criticism on short stories, drama, novels, history, and intellectual culture in general. He earned an international doctorate from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Tunis University in 1983, received the King Hamad Order of the Renaissance from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in 2012, a medal honoring creative professionals in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries that year, and the Bahraini Outstanding Book of the Year Award in Modern Criticism.[1]

Ghuloom also teaches modern criticism at the University of Bahrain. He served as Visiting Professor of Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Literature at Kuwait University in 1986. He is a member of the Bahrain Writers’ Association and chaired its board of directors for several sessions. He is also a member of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters of Bahrain and the Board of Trustees of the Foundation of Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain's Prize for Poetic Creativity and other humanities organizations in the Gulf and Arab world. He also advises the compilation of the Al-Babtain Dictionary of Arabic Poets in the 18th and 19th Centuries.[2]
