Iceage Sugar (pronounced /aɪs eɪʤ ˈʃʊgə/) is a four-piece indie rock/pop band from Perth, Australia, composed of members Joshua Goldman (vocals and guitar), Alex Jackaman (guitar), Dillon Reid (bass), and Jesse Reid (drums). The band has risen to significance on the Perth music scene after winning the 2014 Sound Overload competition and reaching the state final of the National Campus Band Comp (NCBC) also in 2014.[1] The band features tracks on triplejunearthed with singles "Seaweed" and "Sweat" gaining momentum within the charts.[2] The band name is derived from the song "Wraith" by band P.E.A.C.E, lyric "You could be my ice-age sugar/ You lay me down and make me shiver".[3]

Biography

The band formed in early 2014 and regularly plays live music venues Mojo's, the Norfolk Hotel, the Beat nightclub, and the Rosemount Hotel alongside fellow local acts Della Fern and the Mondays.[4] Yet to release an EP, the band has produced singles Crash, Uncle Claris, Fairies, Over, Sweat, Seaweed and tracks Special K and Blue paper soon to be digitally available.
