Idea (イディア, Idia, born August 31, 1991), stylized as IDEA, is a Japanese singer and songwriter. It premiered in September 2017 with the song "I'm Thirsty"[1] by Universal Music Japan. She is currently the DJ and announcer of a Japanese radio station, ZIP-FM[2], and is working on the production of her new album A-TA-SHI.


Biography[edit]

Idea began playing the piano from the age of three. In 2000, he won the Solo Division Excellence Award from the Piano Teachers' National Association of Japan tournament and in 2001 won the Excellence Award of the Yamaha Festival Competition.

Under the influence of her mother's gospel music singer, she has been on stage since 2000 having her first television appearance in 2002 on Nippon Television New Nippon Expeditionary Party.

In 2004, he went to New Zealand to improve his English language skills.

In 2013, AI, his first work that incorporates dance, was classified in a musical contest in the dance music category in just 4 days. The original song AI was broadcast on the Tokyo radio program as "PICK UP ARTIST".

Since 2017, IDEA has been at the helm of the weekly program "E: d-EYES" radio ZIP-FM of Nagoya.

In September 2017, he released his first single I’m Thirsty[1] by Universal Music Japan, starting her career as a professional singer. Since then he has released three more singles, All About You[3] in November 2017, Wake Up[4] in December 2017 and Brand New Way[5] in April 2018.  In September 2018, the highly anticipated first mini-LP I[6] was released as a compilation of previous work and two new songs, Drive Me Wild and Always Beside You. The track Always Beside You was the theme of the 25th anniversary of Nagoya's largest radio station of Nagoya the Zip-FM.

In April 2019, he released his latest work “To the Future”[7] and is currently in the process of producing his new Single A-TA-SHI, which is being produced by Renato Iwai, and Pedro Dash of Head Media's record label linked to Universal Music. The Single will be released first in Brasil.

IDEA is in the process of preparing for the release of its second mini-LP, which will be produced and recorded in Estados Unidos.
