Education and Labour Activity

At the beginning Igor Dublenco Archived 2020-11-20 at the Wayback Machine had been learning fine arts under the guidance and tutelage of the Honoured Artist of the Republic of Moldova Leonty Grigorievich Glushchenko. In 2006, after finishing the Ukrainian Republican Theoretical High School in Tiraspol, he entered the Transnistrian State University “Taras Shevchenko” to the Faculty of Arts and Architecture. However, soon after, he moved to the Slavic University in the Republic of Moldova, where he graduated in the specialty of Design and Architecture. Now active in the sphere of freelance and Art Management.

Creative work and exhibitions

In 2008, at the age of 19, Igor Dublenco held his first personal exhibition, named “Gothic Surrealism”, in the Palace of Children and Young Creativity, where his works, fulfilled in an original style, were presented. In 2010, his personal exhibition was held at the Bureau of Interethnic Relations of the Republic of Moldova. Also, he took part in the exhibition “Night of Art”, which was held at the Constantin Brâncuși Exhibition Center, in Chișinău. In 2011, in Chișinău, his personal exhibition “Mysteries of Dark Times” was held at the National Library of Moldova. In 2013, in Odessa city (Ukraine), his personal exhibition “The Route of Earth Darkness” was held at the Bulgarian Cultural Center. That year he also took first place in the International painting competition “Art Week” in Kyiv in the Avant-garde composition nomination among professionals. In August 2015, he took part in The International Competition Graphic and Avant-garde Arts in Rome. In November 2015, he took part in The International Painting Competition in Bucharest, in the Avant-garde composition nomination. Since 2014, he has been maintaining exhibition activity on the Internet [1] on his own pages on Twitter and Instagram. Igor Dublenco has held 20 personal exhibitions in the Republic of Moldova [2] and abroad. Currently, the artist’s paintings are held in private collections and galleries in Romania, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, the United States, Bolivia, Mexico, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Russia, and Israel. There are a lot of paintings, graphic drawings, illustrations, miniatures, and pictures of world-well-known architectural monuments.

Author Style

Mythological surrealism [3] — this is the author’s personal style in which the images of the pictures have a philosophic context. Habitual subjects are represented from an unusual point of view. Pictures consist of graphic images, contemporary and medieval architecture, and also have motives of modern satiric folklore. Igor Dublenco’s original pictures and illustrations [4] are represented with traditional painting, illustrations, and miniatures as well.
