Igors Černovs (born on 22 December 1969 in Riga, Latvia) is a Latvian scientist.[2] Graduated with honors[3] from Mechanical faculty of the Riga Aviation University (previously known as Riga Civil Aviation Engineers Institute (RCAII)) in 1994. In the same year he received the degree of the Master of Technical Sciences (M.Sc.Tech.). Was specialized in aircraft maintenance, mechanics of solid body, physics and mechanics of deformation and destruction. He worked with Professor Vitalijs Pavelko from 1994 to 1997. Defended dissertation on “The Theoretical Research of Cracs Influence on Elastic Compliance and Stress-deformed Condition of Riveted Joints”[4] in 1997. At the same year graduated from Doctoral Department of the University and received the degree of the Doctor of Engineering Sciences (Dr.Sc.Ing.). He is a Member of the Latvian Scientists Association since 1998. Aviagroup Eduard Aviatori.lv Owner and CEO since 2007.

At age 28, Cernovs earned an Commercial Pilot Licence. Since 1999 he flew as a pilot on Yakovlev 40 and Antonov 26 civil aircraft. In 2002 he continued his pilot's career in the airline flying on Fokker 50. At age 39, Cernovs earned an Airline Transport Pilot Licence. In 2007 he continued his pilot's career in business aviation flying on Business jets, including midsize Gulfstream G150, VLJ Cessna Citation Mustang and intercontinental Bombardier Challenger 604 and 605.[6] He is certified to fly as a Captain on all of them and has totally more than 7000 flying hours. He flew Business jets on numerous short and long haul flights throughout Europe, CIS & Russia, Asia, Africa, Middle and Far East including long haul experience throughout North and South America with knowledge of the most major international airports all over the World.
