ikonoMenasa is the first art HDTV Channel, produced by ikono and primarily broadcast with the help of Arabsat.
ikonoMenasa started broadcasting November 2010, 24/7, in the whole of the Arabian Peninsula and North Africa, extending to the west of Iran, the southeast of Turkey, and the southern frontiers of Portugal, Spain, and Sardinia.
March 2011, telecom companies Etisalat and du started broadcasting the channel through their IPTV boxes in the U.A.E.
July 2011, Qatar‘s telecom company, Qtel, added ikonoMenasa to its broadcasting portfolio.
The Arabsat signal reaches the 165 million households that have a domestic satellite dish.
Current viewing figures have reported a daily audience of up to 200'000 viewers.[citation needed]
Programmes[edit]
