Ilan Bluestone is a London-based Electronic dance music producer and DJ well known for his unique style of Trance music titled "tronce."[citation needed] Bluestone has been releasing music since 2008 with his debut single "Filthy Geezer" released on L8-Night Records[1] but first broke into the world of Anjunabeats and trance with his groundbreaking single "Capetown" in 2012.[2] Following this release Bluestone continued to make a name for himself by offering listeners with his tronce style consisting of what he describes as distinct bass paired with inspiring synth.[3] Since joining Anjunabeats, Ilan has collaborated with Anjuna greats such as Andrew Bayer, Spencer Brown, Maor Levi, and Above & Beyond. He has even worked with legends of the industry BT, Cosmic Gate, and Armin van Buuren.[4] In 2019 Bluestone released his debut album Scars to reach #11 on the Billboard charts top electronic/dance albums.[5] Finally in 2021, Ilan Bluestone followed up Scars with his much awaited second album Impulse.[6]

Early Life[edit]

Bluestone developed a taste of Israeli electronic music which his friends from school introduced him at trance parties.[7][8][verification needed] At age 11 he moved to England with his family and brought his new love of electronic music with him. In England he began to use Cakewalk Pro Audio to develop music of his own before making his first released remix, a remix of Mungo Jerry's "In the Summertime" at age 16.[8] This initial remix introduced him to the music industry but Bluestone chose to continue working on his skills by attending Leeds Beckett University to study music technology.[7] During his early 20s, Bluestone released mixes and singles on trace labels such as Enhanced Music, Armada Music, L8-Night Records, and F! Records.[8] In 2011 Bluestone had his first experience in the world of Anjunabeats when he featured on Maor Levi's "On Our Own", after this he featured on more of Levi's Anjuanbeats label songs until 2012 when he was first included in Anjunabeats Worldwide 04 Sampler with his song "Namaste".[9] From here Bluestone continued to feature Anjunabeats produced releases during 2012 before his eventual debut single "Capetown" in October of that year.[10] After joining Anjunabeats, Bluestone established himself and one of Anjuna's greats and went on to be nominated for Billboards top trance artists of the year in 2018 following the release of his Album 'Scars'.
