Early life

Imam Hayat was born on 28 June 1960 in Chittagong, Bangladesh. He received most of his early education from his father, Syed Mohammad Saifur Rahman Nizami. His father is an Islamic scholar and researcher of Hadith and the Quran.[2]

Religious Views

Imam Hayat officially founded World sunni movement in 1979. World sunni movement is a sunni Islamic religious organization. He declared to celebrate Eid-e-Azam which means the greatest joy in Hijri year 12th day of Rabi al-Awwal.[3] He also asked his followers to celebrate Eid-e-Merajunnabi in Hijri year 26th Rajab as Muslims believe Prophet Mohammad directly meet with Allah on this day.[4][5]He celebrates the National martyr day of the Muslim nation on 10th al-Muharram of Hijri year with his followers.[6]

Political Views

Imam Hayat officially started the humanitarian political organization World humanity revolution with 40 point direction demand on 20 April 2010. The High Court Division of Bangladesh directed the Bangladesh Election Commission to nominate the World humanity revolution Bangladesh as a political party in 2019.[7] Under the direction of Imam Hayat, World humanity revolution organized a human chain in Dhaka press club in 2019.[8]

Eid e Azam

Mawlid which is celebrated as Eid e Miladunnabi on the holy birthday occasion of Prophets and messengers in Islam Muhammad all over the world, Imam Hayat has argued to celebrate this occasion not only as Eid Miladunnabi but as Eid e Azam which means the Greatest Eid, Eid of all Eid.[9][10]

Stands on Nationalism and Democracy

Nationalism has always been in discussion for its pro and cons. Like many other critics of nationalism, Imam Hayat also has a position on it but it seems he has something distinguishable, he says:

“State dedicated only for single religious group or Nationalism is the worst crime against humanity”[11]

Most of the Muslim scholars are seen to criticize democracy as anti-Islamic while Imam Hayat is claiming the opposite, denouncing dictatorship he upheld democratic system, as said by him:

“Dictatorship does not grant rights to anyone. A democracy grants rights to some, but there is little voice and freedom. A humanitarian state ensures the rights of all, with full voice and freedom.”[2][12]
