Imthias Kadeer Hameed (born 17 December 1978) is an Indian conservation photographer.[3] and an entrepreneur. His concern for Mother Earth is vividly portrayed in most of his works, which also coveyes a social message. One of his notable work is "Jungle Book", an indian leopard in the sillhouette of a moon.

Shades Of Life[edit]

Imthias started a community called Shades Of Life in 2003 inspired by his grandfather who used to make him to plant trees since he was 3 years old. Shades of Life was initially setup to inspire friends to plant a tree and take care of it, after few years it become a community and now they have over 11000 trees planted in 40 countries.The last 11 years Imthias and his friends started to plant trees and now they are all so happy and proud to sit in its shade and to have the fruits. Imthias has traveled across 24 countries and he plants trees in each country he visit and does seminars in each country he travels on indigenous tree planting and how to conserve what’s left of the world. The motto of Shades of Life is "We don’t believe in running marathons for green revolution instead we believe in the act of planting."[4]

Celebrate Keralam[edit]

Celebrate Keralam is a platform for creative and skilled professionals including documentary makers, photographers, writers, journalists, film makers, musicians, actors and art lovers to put their hands and minds together to fulfill their passion and give something back to their cherished homeland Keralam. Imthias was a part of the first photography exhibition conducted by Celebrate Keralam along with DTPC Kerala During 25th Aug to 5th Sept 2012.[5][6]

My Tree Challenge[edit]

Inspired from the ALS Ice bucket Challenge Imthias Kadeer and his friend Abdul Manaf Launched a new project called My Tree Challenge where people plant trees and challenge others to do the same. The project was kick started on 1st Sept 2014 by Padmashree Mammootty[7] who is a well known actor in the Indian Film Industry.[8][9]
