Development of a film adaptation based on true event story began in January 2021, when Stardust Productions acquired the rights to the film adaptation and hired Justine Bonina as screenwriter with Alexia Dimarucut hired to rework script, and director Micho Samson overseeing the script's final revisions. The film was also produced Filikula Pictures, and Innovision. Principal photography began on March with filming taking place Balanga City, Bataan Philippines.
On February 5, 2021 Claire Custodio was cast in the main role of Alyanna Luna. The actress was selected by the production team. In the same month producer search for supporting roles JC Magpoc and Prince Paguirigan were added as Daniel Dizon and Derek Esteban respectively, Nicole Rodriguez was set as Dennise Cortez, and Kate Blancaflor played Erika Gonzales. Producer Micho Samson was additionally cast Maria Fe Satomi as Megan and Mardy Inceñares as Paul for another roles.
In early February, producers Micho Samson, and Mikhael Kiuhni stated that shooting would begin on March 1, 2021 in Balanga City, Bataan Philippines. Stardust Productions has officially delayed the upcoming short film, In Time It Will Be Me from its original May 2021 date to June 2021
