Ince (formerly Ince Gordon Dadds) is an international commercial law firm, focusing mainly on shipping, insurance, energy, aviation and trade, while offering a full commercial legal service.[3]

The firm operates in 10 countries and has 23 offices, employing over 700 employees worldwide, and is led by the Chief Executive, Adrian Biles. The current global senior partner is Julian Clark.

History

The Ince Group plc has its origins as a legal and professional services business in the merger between Ince & Co LLP and Gordon Dadds LLP on 31 December 2018, which followed Ince & Co LLP entering into administration; Ince & Co LLP was acquired for £27.3m in a pre-pack deal.

Prior to the merger, Gordon Dadds has its origins as a law firm based in Mayfair which grew through a series of acquisitions/mergers including Metcalfes Solicitors in Bristol in April 2018[4], and Davenport Lyons in April 2014.

In August 2017, Gordon Dadds Group plc was the first London based law firm to list on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange, raising £20 million in the process.
