Industrial laboratories are a type of research and development facility where innovation is geared towards applied science, technological development, and prototyping. They apply basic research discoveries to practical physical products.
History
The first industrial laboratory was Menlo Park Laboratory[1] created by Thomas Edison and the second was his General Electric Research Laboratory[2]
