A young girl is protected by robots from highly evolved zombies.

Development[edit]

On 22 February 2011, Michael Bay will produce the sci-fi film Inherit the Earth, through Platinum Dunes with JT Petty writing the film for Columbia Pictures with Hannah Minghella and Jonathan Kadin.^[1] On 8 January 2015, Andrew Adamson is set to direct Inherit the Earth, with Oren Uzeil writing the script.^[2] On 7 December 2016, Mike Flanagan replaced Adamson as director and write a new script.^[3] On 21 August 2018, Kornél Mundruczó replaced Flanagan as director and Mundruczó's wife Kata Weber will write a new script and without Platinum Dunes' involvement.^[4] On October 17, 2019, Minghella left the project as she moved over to Bad Robot.^[5]
