The Milk's Gone Bad is a 2022 Comedy horror short film directed by Salvador Ochoa, who also wrote, produced, and stars in the film. The film is about a man named Salvador who throws out a carton of spoiled milk, which leads to it haunting Salvador and psychologically challenging him as it takes away everything he loves away.
Salvador Ochoa developed the screenplay shortly after he had created a collection of three short video sketches featuring him being scared by a milk gallon that lead to Ioan Laurint pursuing him to make a short film about the idea. Salvador Ochoa had initially brought up the idea of making a few video sketches before he went on to make the screenplay for the short film.
Plot[edit]
Salvador wakes up one day and decides to eat cereal, so he takes out a milk carton. When he opens it, he smells something funny, so he sniffs the milk and realizes it has gone bad. He calls out to his mom but there is no answer. He goes outside and throws it away.
He goes on to continue his regular life when he begins to hear sounds that aren't there. Later, he checks his sister room after he had heard her call his name out, he sees no one in the room and walks back to his. When he turns on the lights, he sees the milk carton he had thrown away sitting in his chair. He walks up to it and picks it up, and he begins to laugh. He goes outside and throws it once again.
Continuing with his life once again, he wakes up one day and goes into his bathroom to take his pills. He starts to feel nauseous and looks up to notice the milk carton on the countertop. He steps back and falls to the ground. Salvador wakes up in a dark room and then sees the milk carton in front of him holding a sign. He runs out quickly, leading to a chase. He grabs his keys in the kitchen and runs outside. Once out he sees the milk carton in front of him. He walks up to it, confused as to why he's scared of it. He kicks it over, killing it. Salvador walks back inside, knowing he'll never have to deal with the milk again.
