Inikiri Umuezeoka is a community in Ebonyi State, Southeast Nigeria. Inikiri Umuezeoka is located in the Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi State. The inhabitants of the community is the indigenous people of Ezza Effium of Umuezeoka clan. Inikiri Umuezeoka community is made up of three clans: Umu Ugo, Umu Enyi and Umu Igboke; from the Umuezeoka clan of Ezza Ezekunna. The most spoken indigenous language in the community is Ezza language.[1]

Economy[edit]

The major occupation in Inikiri Umuezeoka is agriculture. The major agricultural produce include: yam, cassava, rice, groundnut, palm oil, vegetables, etc.

History[edit]

The history of the people of Inikiri Umuezeoka community in Ebonyi State can be traced to their ancestral home at Onueke. The establishment of the popular Inikiri Bernard market named after an illustrious son of the community, late Mr. Bernard Ukwa enhanced the growth and development of the community. He created the community's first accessible road ( Inikiri Bernard road) which is the community major road.[2] Inikiri Umuezeoka shares common boundaries with Ulayi, Agila, Umuezeokaoha and Effium Urban.
