Intellias is a global software engineering and digital consulting services provider.[1][2][3][4] The company has delivery centers in Ukraine and Poland as well as representative offices in Germany and Saudi Arabia. According to Bloomberg, the company employs 2000 specialists, and is one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe according to Inc. 5000.[5][6]
History[edit]
Intellias was founded in Lviv in 2002 by Vitaliy Sedler and Mykhailo Puzrakov.[7][8][9] The company initially focused on providing software engineering services to clients from German-speaking regions of Europe.[10] As of 2021, Intellias gets the majority of its revenue from clients in the DACH region, Germany in particular.[11]
In 2015, Intellias established a representative office in Berlin, Germany, and a delivery center in Kyiv, Ukraine[12]
In 2017 and 2018, Intellias was included in the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing privately held companies in Europe. In September 2018, Intellias raised investments from the Ukrainian private equity fund Horizon Capital, which acquired a stake in the company.[13]
In 2018, Intellias was listed among the top 100 IT companies in the world according to the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP).[14]
In 2020, company won a Silver Stevie Award in the Product Awards category.[6]
In 2021, company listed in top 5 Ukraine’s best employers by Forbes[15] and ranked one of Ukraine’s 100 most dynamic companies.[16]
Due to 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Intellias was forced to open new offices in Europe and Latin America and relocate its coders within the country.[17][18] Half of its employees have had to leave their homes[19], while some of them, according to The Wall Street Journal, volunteerly joined Armed Forces of Ukraine to combat Russian aggression.[20][21][22] Also, during the Russian-Ukrainian war, the company had to shut down some offices in dangerous parts of Ukraine and to relocate its employees to Krakow (Poland) and Lviv (Ukraine).[23][24]
